It finally clicked for Yana. Looking at Alan in disbelief, she questioned, "Alan, why should I apologize to her?"
How could Alan tell her to apologize to someone like Suzanne?
Suzanne no longer wanted to bother with these matters. She lifted her eyes at Alan and said in an indifferent tone, "Forget it. Let's go."
She refused to waste her time on meaningless matters.
However, Suzanne's response sounded like sarcasm to Yana.
With rage written all over her face, Yana lurched at Suzanne and grabbed her top. She screamed, "What the hell did you mean by that, Suzanne?"
Alan shut his eyes momentarily as if he was trying to hold back his anger. He stepped forward to drag Yana away forcefully. In a frigid voice, he questioned, "Yana, have I been too accommodating toward you this whole time?"
Yana stumbled a couple of steps back. If not for the two receptionists who helped her find her footing by holding onto her from beside, she might have stumbled embarrassingly to the floor. Even so, she felt utterly humiliated.
She felt as if she had been struck by a bolt of lightning. Wide-eyed, she stared at Alan and Suzanne in shock.
She couldn't believe that Alan actually shoved her aside because of a slut!
Yana burst into tears. "I hate you, Alan!"
She dashed outside while tears streamed down her face.
Alan looked extremely upset. He turned back to look at Suzanne. Regretfully, he said, "Sorry for putting you in such a tight spot today."
Suzanne shook her head slightly, not bothered by what happened.
She simply looked in the direction that Yana went. "Aren't you going to chase after that childhood sweetheart of yours?"
A helpless expression came across Alan's face. He asked, "Why are you also teasing me about this?"
Suzanne smirked slightly. As she no longer wished to dwell on this topic, she prompted in a calm voice, "Let's go. Let me check up on you."
Alan nodded respectfully. He extended his arm and urged, "This way."
After acknowledging with a slight nod, Suzanne glanced toward Roselynn and said, "Roselynn, wait here."
