There was already a rift between the two. With how haughty Suzanne was, she might not even care if Henry had a change of attitude toward her.
Seline didn't wait for Henry to ask more questions before she continued, "Dad, you have to be nicer to her and make her feel like she's important to us so that she's obliged to help us next time."
As long as the embarrassing news regarding the Elite Award was exposed later on, Henry would surely have complaints against Suzanne.
When she stepped in to meddle with things between the two sides, it would then be completely impossible for Henry and Suzanne to reconcile again.
Henry thought about it for a moment as he pondered the possibility of the matter.
His silence prompted Seline to add more fuel to the fire. "Suzanne is a very kind soul. She won't reject you, Dad."
She wasn't sure if Suzanne was kind, but from the number of times she had dealt with Suzanne, she was certain that Suzanne and Henry would never be able to reconcile.
Now, all she had to do was make Henry loathe Suzanne more so that the possibility of Henry giving the company to Suzanne was zero.
Henry looked at Seline with a smile and said, "You're so sweet and understanding, Seline. Let's follow what you said."
It was nothing major for him to just show Suzanne a little bit of kindness for show. With this plan, the burden he had on his shoulders was lifted. He leaned lazily on the back of the chair, his expression finally portrayed relaxation.
Seline complimented Henry sweetly, "You're the best, Dad. That's why you've raised such a good daughter like me."
Henry guffawed at Seline's praise. He thought that if Suzanne were half as good as Seline, he wouldn't need to worry so much.
Coldness flashed in Seline's eyes as she looked at Henry, but her real emotions were quickly buried deep within her heart.
Why wouldn't this old geezer give her the company already? She hated having to wrack her brain for matters like these.
Even though she was cussing him out in her heart, she was still smiling sweetly like a sensible child as she discussed with Henry about how to win over Suzanne.
…
In the Lloyd residence was a room with a huge bed, a leather couch, and a humongous TV that hung on the wall, facing the bed.
Todd wore loose-fitting indoor clothes as he lay on the bed, watching the explicit videos playing on the TV screen intently.
After a while, he burst into a gleeful cackle.
