Her Hidden Crowns (Suzanne and Austin) novel Chapter 308

Hazel gave a deep bow to Charles. "Thank you, Dr. Jennings," she said before quickly following Marsha.

Ten minutes later, Marsha and Hazel exited the elevator after arriving at the parking lot. They immediately noticed a crowd gathered near their car.

The area outside the outpatient department had been empty, but it turned out everyone was gathered here. In an instant, both of them moved in perfect unison, swiftly heading back to the elevator. Marsha pressed the close door button frantically.

Only after the elevator doors closed and they were out of sight from the fans did they breathe a deep sigh of relief.

Hazel looked at Marsha with concern and asked, "Marsha, what should we do? The main entrance is definitely crowded with people." It seemed unlikely they would be able to leave the hospital today.

Before Marsha had a chance to reply, Hazel chimed in once more, "Dr. Jennings is about to wrap up at work. Should I call him and see if he can drive us home?"

It appeared to be the most practical solution right now, but Hazel felt a bit uneasy given their recent disagreement.

Marsha's expression turned grim as she firmly said, "No way."

The thought of asking for help immediately after their intense argument was too embarrassing. She couldn't bear the blow to her pride.

Just then, the elevator arrived at the first floor and the doors slid open. A few fans noticed them from afar.

"Look, there's Marsha!"

In an instant, about a dozen fans surged toward Marsha. She swiftly hit the elevator's close button, and the doors sealed shut right as the fans were on the verge of catching up to her. Her heart pounded frantically, and she felt as though she couldn't handle much more.

Looking at the scene with a slight smile, Hazel asked, "Marsha, should I get in touch with Dr. Jennings?"
