Chapter 45
The mother and daughter both looked up simultaneously. Mandy placed her phone to the side and spread her hands in a gesture of helplessness as the explained, “Suzanne, you wouldn’t have come back if I hadn’t used that method, would you?”
As Seline looked at Suzanne, a cold smirk tagged at the corner of her lips. Finally, they had managed to trick Suzanne into returning
Suzanne’s expression immediately turned ley cold.
She had suspected something was off but had been too concerned to notice the details. Now, seeing how relaxed the two of them were, she would be a Tool if she didn’t catch on now
She glared at Mandy, her anger rising “You really are scheming ”
They no longer cared about pretending now. Had they been so eager to get to this point?
A gleam of calculation flickered in Seline’s eyes. She stood up and walked toward Suzane before saying in a helpless tone, “Sur, Mom is doing this for your own good. How can you call is a scheme? We’re family, after all ”
Suzanne couldn’t help but laugh bitterly.
Family?
She felt disgusted by that word
She clearly remembered how, right after her mother, Karlee Hood, passed away, Mandy barged into the house with Seline. With a malicious look on her face, she warned, “From now on, I’m the lady of this boose. If you don’t listen to me, I’ll throw you into the river.”
Suzanne looked at them coldly and said, “T’in not part of the same family as a mistress.”
Mandy’s expression instantly darkened. Despite having been Mrs. Yates for so many years, she was still subject to the malicious gossip of the socialite circle. The word “mistress” felt like a scar burned deep into her soul.
Now, Suzanne had the audacity to say it to her face. That was out of live!
Seline, too, was visibly enraged Frowning, she glared at Suzanne. “How can you say that about my mom? She’s only doing this for you!”
How dare Suzan call Mandy a mistress! Seline was more determined than ever to get Suzanne married to Todd
A plencing cry of pain instantly filled the entire living rou
Suzanne, utterly disgusted, glared at the woman she had just shoved to the ground. “A good marriage prospect? If it’s such a good one, why don’t you take it instead?”
How could they even say such hypocritical words with a straight face?
Suzanne had shown no mercy when pushing Seline, so Saline hit the ground hard. Her body convulsed in pain.
Mandy breathed a sigh of relief, but she quickly glared at Suzanne. Her words were filled with a sense of helplessness. “Suzanne, no matter what, you can’t push your sister like that!”
