The mother and daughter both looked up simultaneously. Mandy placed her phone to the side and spread her hands in a gesture of helplessness as the explained, “Suzanne, you wouldn’t have come back if I hadn’t used that method, would you?”

As Seline looked at Suzanne, a cold smirk tagged at the corner of her lips. Finally, they had managed to trick Suzanne into returning

A gleam of calculation flickered in Seline’s eyes. She stood up and walked toward Suzane before saying in a helpless tone, “Sur, Mom is doing this for your own good. How can you call is a scheme? We’re family, after all ”

She clearly remembered how, right after her mother, Karlee Hood, passed away, Mandy barged into the house with Seline. With a malicious look on her face, she warned, “From now on, I’m the lady of this boose. If you don’t listen to me, I’ll throw you into the river.”

Suzanne looked at them coldly and said, “T’in not part of the same family as a mistress.”

Mandy’s expression instantly darkened. Despite having been Mrs. Yates for so many years, she was still subject to the malicious gossip of the socialite circle. The word “mistress” felt like a scar burned deep into her soul.

Seline, too, was visibly enraged Frowning, she glared at Suzanne. “How can you say that about my mom? She’s only doing this for you!”

How dare Suzan call Mandy a mistress! Seline was more determined than ever to get Suzanne married to Todd

Mandy breathed a sigh of relief, but she quickly glared at Suzanne. Her words were filled with a sense of helplessness. “Suzanne, no matter what, you can’t push your sister like that!”
