I love you too Ridwan, I really do, I never stopped loving you. That day in Uni when I met you, I knew you were going to be my husband and when you proposed I was overly excited to spend forever with you. You're my best friend and lover and I need that back. I need the man I fell I love back because obviously this isn't him here" I said
"I can be that man back Tes. Just please give me the chance to prove my self worth of your love again" he said
"I think first you need to forgive yourself about what happened in the past. You need to move past it and not blame your self for a mistake that wasn't your fault. I need my man back again" i said
"I started seeing a therapist Tes and we can also go for that marriage counselling you talked about once before. I am more than ready now.i will do anything to have you back. I miss you alot" he said
"Here are their numbers" he said as he placed both business cards on the table.
"I told my therapist she could talk to you about anything we discuss and talk about and we can go to the marriage counsellor anytime you're ready. No rush at all. Just please give me a chance to show you we can fight through this together" he pleaded.
"I don't know Ridwan but I want to trust you" I said
"We can do this together and I am sure of it. Trust me. Anytime at all you're ready, we can start the counselling. Take your time" he said
I thought about Ridwan all the way home. He deserved a second chance and that I knew. I decided to still stay back in lagos and I decides it was better if we still gave each other space to figure out somethings on our own. Ridwan told me how he would always be ready anytime I choose to come back and I should take all the time that I needed.
"How was your talk with Ridwan" mother asked as she sat at the edge of my bed
