Her Second Marriage, Being Mr. Moore's New Wife novel Chapter 2

Both the man’s eyebrows and eyes were razor-sharp; under his wolf-like eyes was a high nose bridge, and his thin lips were pursed into a sneer. Although he was sitting in a wheelchair, he had an aggressive and intimidating aura around him, making it hard to approach him.

So this is the rumored ugly-looking man?

Charlotte was slightly stunned, and only after the atmosphere had tensed up that she sat up from the bed while avoiding his eyes. Then, she said guiltily, “O-Of course I am Christina Wilson…”

“Heh.” Kennedy’s eyes grew colder as he took out an envelope from his pocket and threw it in front of Charlotte.

She carefully picked it up and opened it, only to find that it was full of photos and information about her sister, Christina Wilson.

So, he knew my true identity from the very beginning?

Charlotte’s grip on the envelope tightened a little before biting her lower lip. Then, she glanced at Kennedy calmly with her black, shiny, impenetrable eyes.

“Did the Wilson family think that they could fool me just because I’m crippled?”

Charlotte lowered her eyes and defended herself softly, “I’m also the Wilson family’s daughter…”

“The daughter who just got divorced? Does the Wilson family take the Moore family as a recycling station?” Kennedy’s eyes turned cold again.

His sarcastic and straightforward words reminded her of the terrifying night a month ago. She bit her lower lip tightly, trying to use the pain to remind herself not to lose it.

However, before she could calm down, the man lashed out coldly again, “I’ll give you five minutes to get out of the Moore residence.”

“What?” Charlotte looked up, and her eyes met his jet-black ones.

If she were to be chased out, the Moore family would definitely hold grudges against the Wilson family. Her entire family depended on her, so even if she was reluctant to stay, she couldn't just stand and watch the Wilson family get ruined by her.

After calming down, Charlotte plucked up the courage to look directly at him and said, “I know that this marriage was arranged by your parents. You don’t really care who you marry. Otherwise, you wouldn’t have agreed to this marriage. Rather than marrying again, you should let me stay. I promise that I won’t get involved in your life.”

As soon as she said that, Charlotte raised her hands as a token of guarantee. Her eyes were filled with determination, but cautiousness was written all over her face as if she was afraid that he would not accept her proposal.

She looks like...

Kennedy narrowed his eyes as he looked at her.

In the end, he curled his thin lips into a smile. “Do you really want to stay that badly?”

Charlotte looked at his grin, and her instinct told her something was off, but she still nodded in response.

The corner of Kennedy’s lips curled up even more contemptuously. It was not the first time that he had encountered greedy women like her who were willing to replace their sisters and marry into the Moore family in hopes of prosperity and wealth.

His gaze was fixed at the person on the bed as he said, “I will give you a chance to stay—”

As soon as the light of joy flashed in Charlotte’s eyes, she heard the evil man finishing his sentence. “—but you have to please me first.”

Stunned, Charlotte stared at the man beside the bed in disbelief.

“What’s the matter? Can’t you understand my words?” Kennedy sneered, “Don’t tell me that a divorced woman doesn’t know how to please a man.”

Hearing what he said, Charlotte clenched her fists tightly.

She was indeed married to Aldrich for two years, but the latter had always used the excuse that he was busy to avoid sleeping with her. Then, one night a month ago, she caught Aldrich and an enchanting pregnant woman messing around on their marital bed.

Her nightmares started from that moment…

“Speak!” Her silence obviously made Kennedy lose his patience. He then stretched out his hand to tear off the quilt she was holding in front of her, revealing the woman's fair body…

“Ah!”

In a panic, Charlotte grabbed the quilt to cover her body before wrapping herself up as if someone was bullying her.

Although Kennedy only had a glimpse of her alluring beauty, his eyes darkened slightly, and his cold voice sounded hoarse as he started to be filled with lust. Then, he chuckled. “You suck at acting innocent.” With an icy look in his eyes, he continued, “If you can't please me, then get the hell out of here!” With that, he pushed the wheelchair and turned away.

“Wait a minute!”

Looking at Kennedy's indifferent and ruthless back, Charlotte was so anxious that she got out of the bed while still wrapped in a quilt.

Then, she shouted at his back, “You can't do it anyway, so why are you torturing me like this?! Isn't it better for us to live in peace? It also saves you the trouble of remarrying.”

Her words caused Kennedy to pause along with his wheelchair.

His body stayed still, but his head turned around slightly. He then threw her a stern look from the corners of his eyes as his devilish voice declared, “Who says that I can’t do it?”

Kennedy's eyes were as dangerous as a dormant beast in the dark night.

It felt as if he would immediately pounce forward to kill her if she said another word.
