Her Second Marriage, Being Mr. Moore's New Wife novel Chapter 242

For a moment, Charlotte thought she was wrong.

Because she saw the earrings Kennedy bought on Diana's ears.

"What can I do for you, Miss?” The voice of the waiter came, pulled back Charlotte's soul. Charlotte came back to sense and forced a smile to the waiter, “A cup of coffee."

"All right." After the waiter left, Diana looked at Charlotte with a sweet smile and held her hand in a close way, saying, "Charlotte, thank you. It's very kind of you. Obviously you don't like sweet food, but you are always willing to accompany me to eat sweet food. We are always good friends.”

Charlotte’s eyes fell on Diana's ears.

That pair of earrings were pink and lovely, shining in the light. Charlotte was attracted to this pair of earring at that time, but later......

She couldn't help asking, "Your earrings..."

Hearing that, Diana came back to sense, stretched out her hand to touch that, and then curled her lips, "Is it beautiful?"

Charlotte did not know what to do and could only nod her head.

"Nice." She smiled, but the smile was bitter to the bottom of her heart, which only she knew.

Then Charlotte saw Diana holding her face and playing with her earrings with a coyly shy expression. "I also feel pretty."

Charlotte's heart was so bitter that her hands under the table were clenched so tightly that her nails almost sank into the flesh. Then she loosened her hand, looked at the earrings and asked, "Did you buy it yourself?"

Diana was stunned for a while and then shook her head, “Of course not, somebody gave it to me!"

With this, Diana blushed shyly.

Of course, Charlotte knew what it meant. She looked like falling in love.

However, Charlotte thought it could not be from Kennedy. Even if Kennedy liked Diana, Diana would not accept his gift knowing that they were couples. And she would not show a shy face. She was not that kind of person.

Thinking of this, Charlotte took sigh of relief, and her clenching hand loosened.

"Congratulations." Charlotte said sincerely, thinking that it was just a coincidence.

Hearing that, Diana's face paused, and then she blinked her eyes and quietly looked at Charlotte.

Charlotte felt it weird and asked, "What's wrong?"

Diana shook her head and said nothing. Then the waiter served the dessert. Diana picked up a spoon to dig a mouthful of cream to eat, "Good."

Charlotte's coffee was served. She drank and felt it bitter.

Though she consoled herself, she still cared. The pair of earrings was really just a coincidence?

When they parted, Diana suddenly took Charlotte's hand and quietly asked, “Charlotte, there is something I want to tell you, but... I don't know how to talk to you."

Hearing this, Charlotte felt a sharp jump between her eyebrows and her voice trembled.

"What, what is it?”

Diana stared at her for a while with less gentle expression. She looked sad as if she had done something to feel sorry to Charlotte, which made Charlotte nervous.

"Forget it." Diana took a sigh, lowered her eyes and stopped talking.

Charlotte, “...Tell me, there is nothing between us that cannot be said."

Diana shook her head, “It is not the time yet, I will tell you when it is appropriate. Charlotte......No matter what, you must remember, we are good friends, you must... believe me!"

She held Charlotte's arm tightly and looked at Charlotte carefully.
