“In his trap? What does that mean?” Winnie looked at Yanis, puzzled.
Yanis smiled, shrugged her shoulders, “You will know. Well, I have to report work to Alice, talk to you later.”
With that, Yanis left the tearoom, leaving Winnie who was holding her chin in puzzlement.
Did he fall into Sean's trap?
What trap? After thinking carefully about Yanis’ meaningful expression, Winnie came back to herself and suddenly got angry.
“Yanis, stop there, what do you mean I fell into Sean's trap? Who would like a guy like him? Come back here!”
Winnie ran out of the tea room.
And Yanis had quickly slipped into the office and put the document in front of Alice.
Hearing the sound outside, seeing Yanis being furtive, Alice smiled, “What did you do?”
“Nothing.” Yanis shrugged her shoulders unnecessarily, “Leave her alone. How do you think this report? This is our orders, expenditure and sales.”
Hearing that, Alice took the document.
Before when there were only her and Yanis, it was Yanis dealt with these things.
When Yanis was in the Moore Group, she worked in financial department and was sensitive to money figures, so after Alice ran a company, she did not hire staff but let Yanis deal with the financial work.
Alice trusted her and then gave a smile after reading, “You did a good job. If you think there is no problem, you don’t have to show me.”
“I'll show you for sure.” Yanis glared at her, and then sat down next to her, “I can feel at ease only after you read it. Although we are good friends, the accounts should be calculated openly. By the way, when I went out just now, I heard Winnie say that Mr. Kennedy went on a business trip.”
Hearing the name of Kennedy, the smile on Alice’s face faded.
She nodded.
“Yes.”
“How do you feel?” Yanis came over and studied her carefully, as if trying to read something from her face.
Embarrassed by the proximity, Alice touched her nose.
“Winnie must have told you all about it. Why do you pretend to me?”
“Hum.” Yanis gave a hum, “I know you still like him.”
Alice did not answer, but lowered her eyes, but her emotion was light.
“So what? Even if I still like him, if we were together again, who can guarantee that it won't happen again?”
“I don't know if it will happen again. I just know that if you lose him again, it could be a lifetime. How many five years are there in life? Unless you want to be alone for the rest of your life, you can never miss him.”
Never miss him?
Alice gave a bitter face.
That was impossible.
Even if he was not around, she would search about his news, but she did not admit it after being found.
Not to mention he showed up every day and did things and said words touching her.
Alice closed her eyes, clenched her hands on the table, and then opened her mouth.
“If... If I accept him, will I be cheap?”
