Her Second Marriage, Being Mr. Moore's New Wife novel Chapter 694

The meeting lasted for a long time. When the meeting was over, everyone put away their belongings and then left the conference room.

In the past few hours, Nathan had been trying to stop himself from telling Kennedy that Mrs. Moore had come here. For several times, when he saw the profile of Kennedy, he nearly couldn't bear it anymore and then told Kennedy that Mrs. Moore was waiting for him in the office.

However, remembering that Alice had told him not to inform Mr. Kennedy of her arrival, Nathan stopped himself.

Therefore, as soon as the meeting was over, Nathan got close to Kennedy, bend down and spoke in a low voice.

"Mr. Kennedy."

Kennedy was still staring at the document. Hearing his voice, he just said, "Go ahead."

"Mrs. Moore..."

Soon after he mentioned Alice, Kennedy stopped moving his finger, raised his head quickly and looked up at Nathan.

Seeing his sharp eyes, Nathan was startled. He unconsciously took a step back, "Mr....Mr. Kennedy..."

"What do you want to say?"

Kennedy stared at him. He was sure that Nathan mentioned Alice just now.

He believed that he did not mishear.

"...Mr. Kennedy, I just want to tell you that Mrs. Moore is waiting for you in the office."

The moment he finished speaking, Kennedy directly got up. He gave up putting away his things and came straight out of the conference room.

Nathan thought: No wonder Mrs. Moore asked me not to tell Mr. Kennedy that she had come before the meeting was over. Mr. Kennedy was so crazy!

Nathan hurriedly caught up with him, "Mr. Kennedy, Mr. Kennedy."

Kennedy impatiently stopped, "What's the matter?"

"Mr. Kennedy, I just want to tell you that Mrs. Moore has been here since a few hours ago and that she told me not to inform you of that. She wants you to focus on the meeting."

At the beginning, Kennedy couldn't help frowning. Soon, he smooth his knitted brows. Seemingly having thought of something, he was in a better mood.

"I see. Put away my things."

After saying that, Kennedy left the conference room.

As the assistant of Kennedy, Nathan went to put away things for Kennedy.

Kennedy quickly returned to his office. However, after he pushed the door open, he did not see Alice.

He looked around, finding that the door of the lounge was not properly closed.

He walked towards the lounge. When he arrived the door of the lounge, he unconsciously stepped softly.

After he opened the door of the lounge, he saw the person he loved.

Alice was lying in the bed in the lounge. Her hair was a little messy. And she did not wore make-up. Besides, she was not properly covered with the quilt.

Kennedy looked at her for a little while. Then he got close to her, bent down and covered her with the quilt.

After doing that, Kennedy did not stand upright. He stared earnestly Alice who was having a sound sleep. Then, remembering what Nathan told him before, he couldn't help touching her face gently.

"Silly girl, you don't have to consider me. When you come here, you can just tell me. Sleeping here alone for so long, are you silly?"

Kennedy knew that Alice would not hear what he was speaking. After all, Alice was asleep now, so it was impossible for her to hear what he said.

Unexpectedly, Alice's calm expression on her face turned into a painful one. She frowned.

Kennedy realized that there was something wrong. After a closer look, he found that there was a cold sweat on her forehead.

What happened?
