After hearing what she said, Raymond looked quite grim. Bethany knew that she had annoyed him again. 

"You are heartless. I came over to return your phone, but are you driving me away instead of expressing your thanks?" 

It was he who asked her to get off the car and she got wet in the rain. Why should she say thank you to him? 

"Now that you've returned it, why don't you leave?" Bethany added, "Besides, my apartment is shabby, so I don't think you want to stay here."

"Do you forget that you should have a good rest? The doctor said you need rest as much as possible," Raymond reminded.
