Her Tears Are His Weakness novel Chapter 113

Jane finally pulled herself together from the sorrow and suggested, "Why don't we ask Lily for help? We've searched everywhere and couldn't find anyone who has a connection with Mr. Garrett, let alone Dr. Reed. Lily is our only hope right now."

"You're right. I'll call her right away."

Matthew grabbed his phone and stepped aside to make the call. As he passed Samantha, he shot her a vicious glare. "What a leech. Get lost! You're completely useless."

Samantha completely ignored Matthew's words. At that moment, the only thing on her mind was how to save Cynthia. The only person she could turn to was Leonardo.

She stepped into the restroom and stared at his number, hesitating. But in the end, she firmly pressed the call button.

...

The family dinner had just ended at the Garrett residence.

Leonardo had just gotten in the car and was about to leave when his mother, Laura Quest, came over with Yvette. Laura knocked on the car window, motioning for him to roll it down.

Leonardo reluctantly complied. "Do you need anything?"

Laura smiled warmly as she gently nudged Yvette toward Leonardo's car. "Yvette needs to head home as well. Why don't you give her a ride since it's on your way?"

"It's not on my way."

"Of course it is! You both live in the city center, so it's definitely on your way. Yvette's driver had to leave for an emergency, so getting her home safely is now your responsibility. You better behave yourself."

"Can't you just send another driver?"

"Stop arguing and just do it." Without giving him a chance to refuse, Laura shoved Yvette into the car and forcefully shut the door. Before stepping back, she shot Leonardo a sharp warning glare.

He couldn't be bothered to argue any further. After all, Laura was his mother.

Leonardo's grip on the steering wheel tightened slightly, his voice turning cold. "I don't need to fight for power this way, and I certainly won't use my marriage as a bargaining chip."

"So you'd just stand by and watch an outsider take what rightfully belongs to you?"

"Yvette, you're talking too much." His voice grew even colder, and his expression darkened.

Yvette quickly realized she had touched a sore spot and immediately shut her mouth, not daring to say more.

At last, the car fell into silence. The air was thick with tension.

Suddenly, Leonardo's phone, resting on the center console, vibrated along with a standard ringtone.

He glanced down at the screen. The caller ID read "Sam." His eyes darkened. Instead of answering, he pressed the decline button.
