Calista’s phone was going to explode from the sheer number of calls she received, but she couldn’t away because Kallum was not letting her go.

Ever since he had confirmed Calista’s feelings for him, Kallum couldn’t wipe the smile off his face. He fed Calista some medicine, and then happily said, “You’ll be fine in no time, don’t worry!”

Calista nodded her head and spun the thumb drive in her hands while thinking how she was going to tell him that she didn’t like him anymore.

What was this even! If she told him as it was and Kallum believed her, he would think she was playing with him. Otherwise, he would think she’s lying and was playing hard to get.

So the only way was probably to distance herself from him so that he would figure it out by himself that she was babbling nonsense earlier.

Kallum’s interest in her could be very useful for what she wanted to do, but in both lifetimes, she didn’t have a habit of using others‘ feelings for her own benefit

“How did you get drugged?” Kallum couldn’t help but ask when he saw that she was much better.

Calista didn’t reply. She did not intend for others to interfere with her family’s affairs.

Kallum imagined being able to see Calista every day, and it seemed like a pretty nice idea.

Calista felt that this matter had become more serious than she had hoped. She wanted to be Kallum’s godsister, not fiancée!

She licked her lips and got ready to try explaining.

Unfortunately Kallum was a man propelled by actions, so since he had ‘confirmed‘ their relationship, he couldn’t control himself when he saw Calista lick her lips, and the tip of her tongue stuck out from between her lips. He immediately went forward and caught her tongue with his lips without even thinking, carefully tasting her.

It had never crossed her mind that one day Kallum would be so strongly attracted to her. Was it because she was the first woman he slept with?

Kallum finally let go of her and Calista wanted to explain, but he had only let go for a short while and then proceeded to kiss her again.

Calista really wanted to cry. If it wasn’t because she had used up too much energy earlier and was too weak now, there was no way Kallum would have gotten his way like this.

When she realized Kallum wanted to go further with her and it wasn’t a good time to explain herself today. the moment Kallum let go of her, she quickly seized the chance to say, “Dad has been calling me non–stop. I think he’s looking for me urgently and I have to go!”

Kallum was quite reluctant. He had now satisfied some of his inner desires, and didn’t want to let go of her at all, wishing he could just hold Calista in his arms forever.

But Calista was obviously rejecting his advances, and Kallum figured she must be feeling shy because Calista had a very reserved sort of personality, and it was only normal that she couldn’t accept the sudden advancement of their relationship. He touched her swollen lips with some reluctance and hoarsely replied, “Ok, I’ll get someone to send you back.”

Calista breathed a sigh of relief in her heart. She thought it best if she disappeared for a while and let Kallum calm down first.

The moment Calista left, the smile on Kallum’s face completely disappeared.

“Go check what happened today at the Stafford residence.”

His aides quickly found out everything that happened. After all, this matter was so scandalous that the Staffords were probably the Laughingstock of Horington now!

“Jonathan?”

Kallum frowned. “Are all the police officers in Horington dead? Can’t even catch one man?”

He pointed at a man, “Gunner, get some men and help them, I must catch Jonathan today. If there’s someone instigating Jonathan, you know what to do, right?”

The butler was happy to see that Kallum was serious about Calista. To him, Calista was a nice lady, and much better than all those other wealthy families‘ pretentious daughters.

She was now wearing a white dress and her face was all pale, and there was no sign of how licentious she looked earlier on screen.

She continued in between sobs, “I knew something was wrong the moment I stepped into your room! Jonathan doesn’t even know me, why did you do this to me? Is it because you hate me? We’re sisters! I’m so disappointed in you!”

There was a look of hatred in Yelena’s eyes as she quickly cut in, “If it’s not you, who else could it be? It can’t be that Quincy drugged herself and then went looking for Jonathan and embarrassed herself on purpose, right? I know you’re jealous of how Quincy is such an obedient girl, and you’re jealous that your father prefers Quincy, but you can’t do something like this!”
