Hearing Abigail's words, Senior Mrs. Jones smiled. "Although I used you for leverage, this is also my real thought!"
Senior Mrs. Jones treated Olive and Abigail differently.
Abigail was speechless, turning her eyes to Liam.
The man was lying there, looking relaxed. Though injured, he was still handsome.
He remained silent as if he acquiesced to Senior Mrs. Jones's words.
"Grandma, the joke is not funny!" Abigail said with a smile.
Knowing that Abigail was easy to be shy, Senior Mrs. Jones stopped the topic. Instead, she walked over and looked at Abigail. "Come on, let me check your face. How is it? Are you pained?"
"Fine, there's nothing serious!"
"This woman is really vicious!" Speaking of Olive, Senior Mrs. Jones was annoyed.
Abigail thought for a moment and smiled. "It's OK, I'm really fine!"
"Your bark is worse than your bite!" Senior Mrs. Jones finished.
Abigail smiled. "Well, grandma, Mrs. Jones, you guys talk first. I'll return later!" Abigail said.
"Okay!"
Senior Mrs. Jones nodded.
Then, Abigail went out.
Watching Abigail go out, Senior Mrs. Jones stepped closer and sat beside Liam's bed.
"Liam, there's something I haven't said, but I'm sure you know it!" Senior Mrs. Jones said baldly.
Half lying, the man nodded in agreement. "Grandma, don't worry. I'll cope with it!"
