Chapter 164 Winning Kara's Heart
Louis secretly smiled. Meanwhile, Brandon lowered the flower in his hand with a sad expression.
"That's a shame. I really like you. But if you want to be friends, that's fine." Brandon shrugged helplessly.
Suddenly, several other boys came. They all carried gifts in their hands. Before Emily was attacked, Louis quickly dragged her hand.
"Come on, Emily! We have to get to class. We can't be late."
"Yes!"
Seeing the twins running from other children, Kara rested her head on Frank's shoulder. Her laugh was light and soothing.
"Aren't they very cute?" The tears in her eyes grew thicker. "It's hard to believe they've gotten this big."
Frank kissed Kara's temple. "Enough looking at the kids?"
Kara glanced at him with a wry smile. "It’s never enough, Frank. But now, we'd better get going. Otherwise we'll be late."
"The mother of my children is busier than me, hmm?" Frank's voice sounded hoarse.
Kara smiled faintly. "I have to make myself worthy to be with you."
While rubbing Kara's shoulder, Frank planted a kiss on her forehead. "You've worked hard, Kara. Your app launching will definitely go smoothly."
"Amen. Thank you, Frank. I am very lucky to have a lover who never tires of supporting me."
Frank pursed his lips, raising an eyebrow. After giving orders to the driver, he grabbed Kara's finger. His gaze implied something.
"After this, you won’t be this busy, right? How about changing what you call me from lover to husband?"
Kara blinked under her furrowed brows. "Aren't we still in mourning?"
"I think three months is enough. Grandpa also stated in the letter that he didn't want us to be sad for too long, right?"
Agreeing, the corners of Kara's lips curled up again. "Do you have any idea yet?"
Frank's eyes narrowed. His smile was meaningful. "Yes, but I want to ask Louis and Emily's opinion first."
"Not under the sea or in space, right?"
Frank laughed slightly. "No. Don't worry. I won't do anything crazy. Now, what you need to think about is how I can complete the assignments Louis gave me. I don't want my movements to be limited at our first night. It wouldn't be funny if he forbade us from sleeping together."
Kara bit her lip, holding back her amusement. "What hasn't done yet?"
“There's only one left. Taking you on holiday."
The answer succeeded in making Kara flinched. “You already taught Louis how to drive? When?"
Frank's expression suddenly froze. While moving his neck awkwardly, he stammered. “That was … while you were busy with promotions last week.”
Kara laughed faintly, but her gaze sharpened. “That little car, right? Not the short supercar he got from his great-grandfather?”
Frank swallowed hard. His eyes blinked faster.
“Frank?”
The man quickly grabbed her shoulder. “Okay, please don't be angry, Kara. I've guaranteed everything is safe. The proof is Louis is okay, right? I have installed every corner of the car with a camera. So, Louis had no difficulty monitoring his surroundings. He also promised to only drive within safe limits."
Kara sighed and held her head. "No wonder I felt bad during yesterday's promotion period."
“Calm down, okay? Everything is fine. I also use special protection for Louis. So, everything is under control."
Kara looked at Frank with pursed lips. After a few breaths, the wrinkles on her brows unraveled. “He can’t drive until he has a driver's license.”
