Hiding the Twins from Their Billionaire Father novel Chapter 173

Chapter 173 S2| Rude
The twins looked over. In an instant, their expressions turned bright. "Grandma!" Without warning, the two of them ran to hug Susan.

"What is this? We haven't seen each other for an hour, you guys miss me already?”

Louis glanced at Melanie with narrowed eyes. His cheeks puffed out, trying his best not to let out emotion. "Yes, we just realized that Grandma is the best grandmother in the world," he praised and also teased other people.

Susan laughed warmly. She bent down, kissed the twins' heads.

“By the way, who are they?” she asked as she straightened up again.

Emily looked up at Susan. "They are Daddy's mother and half-sister."

Susan suddenly raised her eyebrows. After a few blinks, her brain regained control of her facial expressions.

“Hello, Mrs. Harper. Nice to meet you here," she said sincerely.

However, Melanie just snorted. Her arms remained folded in front of her chest. “Finally, someone called me correctly.”

Susan almost ruined her smile. After leaving the flowers to the twins, she extended her hand. "I am Susan Martin," she said firmly yet friendly.

Melanie frowned slightly. Reluctantly, she touched Susan's fingertips. "Melanie Harper."

The curve of Susan's lips changed meaning. Before she had time to fix her expression, Barbara stepped forward and snatched the flowers from Emily.

"Is this for us? Thank you."

"No!" Emily tried to grab it again, but failed. Barbara's hand was too high. "That's for Mommy and Daddy. We want to welcome them because they have just returned from their honeymoon."

Barbara pursed her lips. "But I like this flower. Can't you give it to me? Your father and mother certainly won't mind."

Emily started to pout. Louis was about to protest, but Susan held his shoulder.

Witnessing that scene, Philip couldn't help but take a deep breath. "Excuse me, Ma’am. Your rooms are ready."

"Already? Why was it so fast? Did you prepare it haphazardly?" Barbara put her hands on her hips. Her eyes seemed to pop out.

Philip glanced at Susan briefly. Obviously, he wasn't the only one who flinched.

"All the rooms in this house are always kept clean, Miss. It doesn't take long to prepare them when guests come, especially with 20 servants," Philip flatly explained.

"Good." Melanie raised her chin. "Then, leave two servants in my room and my daughter's room. We need their help to organize things. Our suitcases have been delivered, right?"

Philip stuffed his lungs with patience. "Yes, Ma'am."

"Then," Melanie glanced at Susan and the twins, "see you at lunch. I'm sure Frank will invite us to eat together. My son is too generous."

While Susan was stunned, Melanie walked towards the stairs. Barbara followed. However, after only a few steps, Philip stopped her.

"Sorry, Miss. Your room is over there."

Barbara glared. "I got a downstairs room?"

"Sorry, Miss. There are no rooms for guests upstairs."

"Guest? I'm Frank Harper's younger sister. You dare give me a simple room?"

"There are no simple rooms in this house, Miss. Even if you insist on an upstairs room, you can't occupy it now. All of the rooms have been used as a bedroom and study."

"No, Mommy." Louis shook his head. The twinkle in his eyes dimmed. “This house is our palace. Daddy is the king and Mommy is the queen. Grandma Susan is the royal advisor, Emily the princess, while I am the bravest knight. I am responsible for guarding our palace from enemy attacks.”

The curve of Kara's lips threatened to break. She glanced briefly. Frank's face was pale again.

“Little Angel, do you realize that what you just said was full of hatred? That is not a good act. Your grandmother and aunt are not enemies.”

“But Louis is right, Mommy. If Grandma Melanie and Auntie Barbara weren't enemies, they wouldn't have taken the flowers we prepared for Mommy and Daddy. They were the first to declare war.”

Emily pouted. Tears began to gather in her eyes. Before she burst into tears, Kara quickly stroked her cheek. "No, Little Bee. They are not enemies.”

"I’m sorry." Frank's voice caught everyone's attention. Emily held back her irritation, while Kara turned her head. Frank was walking over to them before bending one knee.

"Sorry if I let them into our palace. I know they can threaten our happiness, but I have no other choice. Melanie is my mother and Barbara is my half-sister. I am evil if I throw them out of our house. You don't want Daddy to be a bad person, do you?”

With sad faces, the twins nodded. "Yes, we don't want Daddy to be a disobedient son. The sin must be serious."

“Then can you be patient? Slowly, we try to change them, like how we changed the late Grandpa Rowan."

“Is this our next secret mission, Daddy? Grandma and Auntie are lost. So, we have to help them get back on the right path?” Emily furrowed her brows over her round, reflective eyes.

“Yeah,” Frank forced a smile and nodded. “Can you do it? Let’s fill their hearts with love until they realize that we are not enemies.”

Louis' cheeks puffed up. His shoulders dropped. “I think it will be more difficult.”

"Yeah, they are too rude and annoying," Emily continued, nodding wearily. “But we can try.”

“Then let's try it. I hope our efforts weren't in vain," Louis nodded, more enthusiastically.
