Hiding the Twins from Their Billionaire Father novel Chapter 269

S31 12. Approach Frank

“What can you do?” Frank tilted his head.

“I can persuade Grandma slowly, but I need your cooperation.” Sophia nodded.

“What do you want us to do?”

“I can persuade Grandma to talk to you privately. While waiting for approval, can you ask Kara not to provoke Grandma?”

Frank laughed dryly. “What do you mean by not to provoke? Do you think my wife is a catfight?”

“That’s not what I mean. I just-”

“Hi, Sophia. You’re here?”

Sophia turned her head. Kara turned out to be walking towards them. Frank immediately greeted her with a bright smile.

“Hello, Queen Bee.”

“You really called me that?” Kara whispered as she pinched Frank’s

stomach.

The man laughed briefly. “Isn’t that our agreement?”

Kara narrowed her eyes before turning to Sophia. “So, what were you guys talking about?”

“Sophia said she wanted to help.”

“Yes, I don’t like seeing you guys working while I’m relaxing,” the woman interrupted, gracefully.

Frank was stunned. He was curious why Sophia stopped explaining.

“You’re very kind,” Kara praised with a small smile. “But you don’t have to feel that way.”

Sophia was sick with Kara’s kindness. She had to find another topic. By the way, where are Louis and Emily?”

“In that stall,” Kara pointed out. “They’re watching Abi put on a horse

blanket.”

“They must be very happy to be on this farm. I can’t miss their

cuteness. We’ll talk again later, okay?”

Sophia walked over to the stall. After she disappeared, Frank looked at Kara intently.

“Why are you still nice to her?”

“What is wrong with it?” Kara shrugged and patted Frank’s arm. ” Instead of discussing that, you might as well continue your work, Mister Muscle. I’ll take care of you.”

Frank’s eyes narrowed. His smile was meaningful. “So, you came to us to look after me?”

“Of course,” Kara whispered. “I won’t let any woman bother you.”

Frank laughed again. After kissing Kara’s cheek, he sat his wife on one of the haystacks.

“Then, take a good look at me. When else will you be able to see my muscles working for something useful, other than sports and bed matters.”

Kara snorted a little. She was a little embarrassed to hear those words. However, she couldn’t deny that the arms wrapped in the tight sweater were indeed beautiful to look at.

Meanwhile, Sophia smiled at the twins who were standing sweetly at the edge of the stall. Their gray eyes looked bright. Their mouths were

pursed, occasionally letting out a chuckle of amazement.

“I think the blanket is longer on the left side. Is that okay, Abi?” Emily’s pointed her tiny finger. Her feet stood slightly on tiptoe, keeping her body from crossing the safe limits set by Abigail.

“Oh, you’re very thorough, Emily. Thank you. But I don’t think that’s a problem. Casper prefers to lie on the left.”

Emily’s mouth rounded again, and so did Louis’s.

“Abigail is great. She is very skilled at taking care of horses.” Louis’ thumb stood up. However, realizing Sophia’s presence, he folded it back. His expression turned stiff. “Why have you come here, Miss Moore?”

Sophia widened her eyes. Placing one hand on her chest, she tilted her head to the right. “Aren’t you happy I’m here?”

“It’s not like that,” Emily interrupted. “Louis must be the same as me, thinking that you accompany Grandma to the orphanage. Abigail said you like playing with the children there.

Sophia laughed lightly. “No. For today, I want to play with you.”

She stroked Emily’s cheek. “So, what are you guys doing?”

“We watched Abigail put up the horse blanket.” Louis’ answer was straight and steady. There was no friendliness in his voice.

“What’s the fun in just watching? Do you want to try horse riding?”

Louis’s furrowed brows suddenly changed meaning. His dislike for Sophia decreased drastically. “Is that okay?”

“Mommy said, we’re still too small and we’ve never practiced at all. We can only ride if we’re supervised by a professional,” Emily continued with pursed lips.

Sophia shook her head in disagreement. “I started learning to ride

when I was your age and I even have a certificate. Some of the children at the orphanage also often learn in their free time. Is that right, Abi?”

Abigail grimaced. “Yes, there are indeed some children who are interested in riding.”

“Did they use big horses?” Emily raised her eyebrows.

Sophia nodded. “Yes. As long as your equipment is complete and you listen to the instructions carefully, you will be safe.”

“Then will you teach me to ride, Miss Moore? It’s taking too long for me to wait for Grandma Diana.”

Louis’ face lit up. Seeing that, Sophia’s smile became wider.

“Of course.” Her gaze warmed. “I would be very happy if we became good friends.”

Louis smiled brightly. If Abigail hadn’t stopped him from moving too aggressively, he would have jumped up and down and run around the

horse.

“Thank you, Miss Moore. I really can’t wait to ride. I mean, learn to

ride.”

“But Louis,” Emily tugged at her brother’s coat sleeve. “The horse is too high. What if you fall? Mommy will be very sad if you get hurt.”

Louis held the little girl’s shoulders, giving her reassurance. “Relax, Emily. Miss Moore said we’re safe as long as we follow the rules.”

“But you don’t have riding gear.”

Sophia snapped her fingers. “What a coincidence, I have ordered several sets of riding equipment for the children. I plan to donate them to the orphanage children. If you want, you can borrow them. The packages will probably arrive tomorrow.

Louis’ eyes grew rounder. “That’s really cool. Thank you, Miss Moore!”

Suddenly, a voice came, “What’s so cool, Louis? Disputing your

mother’s advice or testing your courage?”

Everyone turned their heads in unison. Jeremy was standing by the
