Hiding the Twins from Their Billionaire Father novel Chapter 306

S31 49. Ready for Party

“Oh, I really went too far. You know when they came to my farm? I wasn’t friendly at all. My attitude towards Kara was very rude.” Diana looked at Susan regretfully.

Susan shook her head gently. “Louis and Emily have already

explained it. I don’t think it’s a problem. Besides, Kara is fine, right?”

“Still, I was unreasonable towards your daughter. I’m sorry.”

Susan patted the back of Diana’s hand. “It’s okay, Ma’am. It’s okay.”

While Susan calmed Diana, Emily looked up and widened her eyes. ” So, Mommy and Grandma Diana have met before?”

Kara nodded while stroking her chubby cheek. “Yeah. It’s just that Mommy and Grandma Diana don’t know each other.”

“Woohoo! This is so great. Shouldn’t we celebrate it? How about we ask Nora to make juice or warm up some milk? We can high-five and

chat for a while.”

Frank glanced at Kara with a faint smile. “I told you.”

Chuckling, Kara put her hand on Louis’ shoulder. “It’s already late a night, Little Bee. Let’s save the party for tomorrow. Now, let Grandma Diana and Abigail rest.”

“Mommy also needs to rest. Little Baby must be tired too. It shook a lot on the plane earlier.” Emily nodded as if Kara needed reassurance. Her hand stroked her mother’s stomach.

“You too, Little Angels. After taking Grandma Diana to her room, you should go straight to sleep. Don’t play anymore, okay?”

Louis looked up at the suggestion. “But we slept a lot on the plane,

Mommy.”

“You want to wait for the New Year, right?” Frank threw the bait.

“Yes, Daddy!” The twins answered in unison.

“I want to blow the New Year’s trumpet.” Louis put his fist in front of his mouth, demonstrating. Meanwhile, Emily put her hands together in front of her chest.

“As for me, I want to say the best wishes for the New Year. Then I count down, and play with fireworks!” Emily spread her arms while making a small jump.

Frank smiled at their excitement. “Then you guys should sleep early today.”

Just as the twins nodded, Nora entered the living room. “Philip, the room you asked for is ready.”

Philip gave thumbs up. “Thank you, Nora.”

Then, he raised his eyebrows at the twins. “Do you want to take Grandma or go straight to bed?”

The twins hurriedly took Diana’s hand. “Nora, where is Grandma’s room?”

After Nora answered, they started walking. “Come on, Grandma. Le

us take you.”

Giggling, Diana let the two toddlers lead her. “Susan, I have to go to my room.”

Susan nodded. Taking her knitting, she said, “I also want to go to my room. I need to concentrate so I can finish this faster.”

Barbara, Philip, and Abigail then followed the twins. Meanwhile, Frank and Kara faced each other. The curve of their lips held the same meaning.

“It turns out, we were matched together? The proof is you met my grandmother long before me.”

Kara narrowed her eyes. “Aren’t we soul mates even though I didn’t meet your grandmother before?”

While snorting in laughter, Frank grabbed Kara’s waist. “Yeah, I’m just too impressed by that fact.” a

Gently, he gave Kara a kiss. “I’m glad I married you.”

“I’m also happy to have married you.” Kara stood on tiptoe, giving back the warmth even though it was brief. “And I’m glad your whole family now accepts me.

Frank nodded. “I’m sorry you had to wait this long to feel the warmth of the Harper family.”

“I’ve felt it since the beginning of our marriage, Frank. From you. Support from the others is a bonus.”

Frank chuckled. “You’re too kind, Kara. Now,” he put his arm around her waist, “let’s follow them. Don’t let the twins ask Grandma for a pillow fight.”

Kara laughed more lightly. “Don’t think about any more strange

things, Frank. What you say about the twins is usually true.”

“I’m just putting myself in their shoes. That’s what toddlers think, no matter how genius they are.”

While Frank and Kara were chatting intimately towards Diana’s room, elsewhere, Jeremy stood stiffly at the door of Melanie’s room. His expression was flat, his arms folded. His eyes kept focusing on the girl who had just pulled the blanket over Melanie.

“Mrs. Harris is asleep?” he asked when Ava came out of the room. His face was still frozen, even though there was a small change in his

eyebrows.

Ava closed the door slowly. “Yes, Mrs. Harris just fell asleep.”

“How is she?” Jeremy probed again.

“Good.” Ava nodded then blinked awkwardly. Silence hung for a

moment.

“Is it true that you are willing to take me to the hospital? If you mind, I can order a taxi.”

Before Jeremy could open his mouth, another voice answered, “Of course it’s true. It’s already late. It’s not good for a girl to travel alone.”

Jeremy and Ava spontaneously turned to the side. Vivian was already standing not far from them.

“Mom? Why are you leaving your room? If Mrs. Harris finds out, it could be serious.” Jeremy approached Vivian, about to take her away from the door. However, her feet seemed to have become petrified.

“You forbid Ava from leaving Melanie before she’s asleep, right?” Vivian raised her eyebrows, smiling meaningfully.

While Jeremy exhaled a long breath, Vivian glanced at Ava. “She’s here now. That means Melanie is asleep. She won’t know I’m outsi

her room.”
