Hiding the Twins from Their Billionaire Father novel Chapter 355

S31 98. Jeremy’s Plan

Eva’s eyes sparkled when she saw the menu served on the dining table. She often went to restaurants with the men she dated. However, the dishes they ordered had never been so luxurious.

“Wow, I’m really honored. I just came to visit my mother. I didn’t expect you to welcome me with this special dinner.”

The people around her exchanged glances. Even the twins’ eyes widened to the maximum. Only Ava didn’t dare to raise her head. She just focused on preparing food for her mother who was sitting next to

her.

“This dinner is not to welcome you, Eva,” Louis said unexpectedly. This is to welcome Mrs. Connor.”

Several people could not help but smile. They thought Eva deserved those words. If Barbara had been there, she would have laughed and whispered with Philip.

“Louis, why did you talk like that?” Kara rebuked gently. “Eva is Mrs. Connor’s daughter. If we welcome her mother, that means we

welcome her too.”

“But Louis is right, Mommy. We’re here to celebrate Mrs. Connor’s recovery, not to welcome Eva. We didn’t even know she was coming.

In order to cover up her embarrassment, Eva faked a laugh. “Yes, that’s what I meant. I feel lucky to be invited to this dinner. Thank you for your generosity, Harper Family.”

Ava secretly glanced at her sister. She wondered if Eva’s veins had broken or what. How could she mention the Harper family with confidence? While in fact, there were Vivian and Melanie who did not have the last name Harper.

Not wanting the atmosphere to become stiff, Vivian spread her arms. “Since dinner time has arrived, let’s enjoy it. Who wants to lead the prayer?”

Louis raised his hands high. “I have prepared a special prayer for tonight. May I lead the prayer?”

Vivian chuckled. After Louis said a very sweet prayer, they ate

peacefully, at least, until Emily noticed the food on Ava’s plate wasn’t decreasing. Ava was busier taking care of her mother.

“Ava, don’t forget your plate. You must eat too while feeding your mother.”

“If not, do it alternately with Eva so you still have time to eat.”

Eva who was about to eat the last bite spontaneously froze. Noticing the glances from the others, she put her spoon back on the plate.

“Sister, do you need help?” she asked in a sweet tone.

Ava wiped her mother’s mouth then prepared the next bite. “No. You just eat.”

Eva put on a hurt look. “Come on, Sister. You don’t have to always pay attention to Mom just because there are other people. I’m the one who always takes care of her at home, remember?”

Everyone turned still. They peered at Ava with furrowed brows. Sh seemed to be holding back her breath. She had to be in shame and

pain.

“You usually take care of Mrs. Connor?” Jeremy broke the silence.

Eva nodded gracefully. “Yes, when she was still healthy, Ava was rarely at home. So, I cooked and took care of everything.”

“If I’m in good health, even Emily can take care of me,” Vivian said. casually, reaching for a glass. “Is that true, Emily?”

The little girl pursed her lips. “If Mrs. Bell is in good health, what do I need to take care of? She can take care of herself. Eat, bathe, sleep.”

As Vivian chuckled, while Eva froze. However, instead of feeling insulted, the girl raised her chin.

“We don’t have servants like your family, Miss Harper. So, we have to do everything ourselves. Cooking, washing, cleaning. Only after that can I go to the boutique. After work, still have to take care of the house again. My daily life is really busy.”

Emily blinked innocently. “I think Mommy would have been much more tired. She had to work, take care of the house, and take care of baby Louis and me. Mommy was amazing!”

Ava is amazing too, Emily,” Louis said, raising his eyebrows. “She has to look after Grandma Melanie, look after her own mother, and take care of her own needs. She takes care of three people at once! Not to mention when we give her missions. She’s also much more tired than Eva.”

“Little Angels, it’s not good to compare like that,” Kara whispered, shaking her head faintly.

The twins pursed their mouths together. “Sorry, Mommy.”

Seeing the two toddlers being reprimanded again, Ava let out a fair sigh. She knew they had become cynical to protect her.

“Everyone has their own busy schedule and priorities. What’s important is not how much they can do, but how much impact it has on their life and other people. So, whether you are busy working or taking care of the house, both are equally noble.”

Everyone was stunned to hear Ava’s words. The girl had never spoken so much and in such depth.

“Ava is right. There’s no point in comparing who is busier. Louis, let’s

apologize to Eva.”

After one nod, the twins turned in the same direction. “We’re sorry,

Eva.”

“We don’t mean to demean your busy life,” Louis added.

Eva smiled with satisfaction. “It’s okay. People have always liked to compare us.”

Suddenly, Mrs. Connor’s fingers moved slowly to grab Eva’s hand. Don’t be sad. You are still my daughter,” she said softly.

Eva smiled. “Thank you, Mom.”

Meanwhile, Ava looked down. Not wanting her awkwardness to be detected, she ate. The others could only look at her in pity.

“Ava must be sad. Her mother plays favorite,” Louis whispered with his lips pursed.

“I hope Uncle’s order comes quickly. That way, we can prove to Ava that we love her.”

Louis nodded. “Yes, even though her own mother doesn’t really like

her.”

After a few minutes, a waiter finally came and whispered to Jerem Seeing his uncle nod twice, Louis started to act.

“Ugh, Mommy…. Looks like I have to go to the toilet.” Louis frowned while holding his stomach.

Kara stared wide eyed. “Are you alright?”
