S3 124. Romantic Uncle Jeremy
“What’s wrong, Daddy?”
“Is there a new assignment for us?”
The twins entered the CEO’s room excitedly. However, as soon as they turned to the guest sofa, their mouths dropped wide open.
“Ava?”
The pale girl smiled slightly. “Hello, Twins.”
The two toddlers immediately approached her. Emily took her hand, while Louis walked around her. The little boy was like an observer trying to find cracks in a statue.
“Are you okay, Ava? Louis and I were really worried about you.” Emily looked up with furrowed brows.
“I think Ava is okay, Emily. She looks perfect.” Louis pointed his tiny finger until it poked Ava’s waist.
Ava covered her chuckle with one hand. “I’m fine. Thank you for worrying about me.”
“You’re welcome, Ava.” The twins hug her. Their eyes were closed as their cheek gave the girl warmth.
“So, why did you bring her here, Uncle? Who looks after Grandma Melanie and Mrs. Connor?” Louis turned his gaze towards Jeremy.
“Uncle can’t possibly let Ava be with Eva, Louis,” Emily pursed her lips. “He better bring her here.”
Jeremy smiled slightly. “Yeah, I couldn’t possibly leave Ava alone. Besides, there’s already a new nurse working at my house.”

While the twins nodded, Frank’s eyes narrowed. “Kids, did you know
that Uncle Jeremy has big news for you?”
The twins’ eyes widened. “What news?”
Frank shrugged, leaving the answer to Jeremy. His older brother
instead glanced at Ava; exchanging a smile. At that moment, Kara stepped in with an enthusiastic face
“Did I miss the news?”
Seeing his wife, Frank immediately got up from his work chair. He approached Kara, put his arm around her waist and guided her towards the sofa.
“No, Queen Bee. You came at the right time.”
The twins circled the table, sitting flanking Kara. Their hands stroked her stomach.
“Get ready, Little Baby. Uncle Jeremy and Ava are going to give us big news.” Louis kissed Kara’s stomach. Emily imitated him. Then, the, little girl looked up at Frank,
“Daddy, why are you standing? Come on, sit here.” Emily patted the sofa cushion beside her.
Chuckling, Frank sat down too. Then, he lifted Emily onto his lap. Buddy, do you want to be on my lap too?”
Louis shook his head. “I have to look after Mommy and Little Baby from this side. I won’t even let the wind make Mommy feel cold.”
“We’re in a closed room, Louis. There’s no wind here.” Emily pursed
her lips.
“There is.” Louis pointed at the air-conditioning. “Did you forget there is air circulation here?”
While the twins argue, Kara was busy mediating. Frank laughed lightly as he hugged them.
Seeing the warmth of the family, Ava smiled. She could imagine that she and Jeremy would be like that too.
“Sorry, Uncle Jeremy. Louis is a bit chatty today. Please tell him the big news. I can’t wait.” Emily wiggled her little feet.
Jeremy grabbed Ava’s hand. Seeing that, the twins glanced at each other and smiled, while Frank and Kara raised their eyebrows slightly. Jeremy ended up holding a girl’s hand!
“Ava has agreed to marry me. So, chances are, we will get married in the near future.”
Frank and his family were stunned. They remembered how cold the interactions between the two people were at the beginning of the meeting. Then, in the blink of an eye, they were dating and now planning to get married?
Frank blinked, breaking through the shock. “Wow! You are truly extraordinary, Brother. How did you convince Ava in less than 24 hours? It took me some time to convince Kara. ”
Jeremy smiled faintly. He glanced at Ava then kissed the back of her hand. “With a ring of sincerity?”
Everyone focused their attention on Ava’s finger. However, neither right nor left, there was anything there.
“Where’s the ring?” Louis scratched his temple.
Jeremy twisted Ava’s hand, pointing at her ring finger. “Here? Can’t you guys see it?”
“Mommy, does Uncle need to see a psychiatrist?”
Jeremy and Ava burst out laughing at Emily’s whisper.

“No, Emily. The ring your uncle gave you is invisible. He said it was
just like his sincerity. It’s equally invisible, but it’s there.”
Frank sighed in disbelief. “A Jeremy can play such tricks?”
“I learned from you.”
“But I’m not that crazy!”
Meanwhile, Louis and Emily were still thinking hard. They tried to understand, but it was too difficult.
“So, has Uncle Jeremy proposed to Ava or not?” Louis jumped to the conclusion, trying to break the confusion.
Jeremy’s face suddenly froze. Ava realized that.
“I don’t need a proposal, Louis. The important thing is we both have agreed to get married.”
“Is that possible?” Louis looked at Kara.
Kara quickly nodded even though it was stiff. “Of course. For some people, a proposal is just a formality.
“What is a formality, Mommy?” Emily continued, increasing the awkwardness.
“That’s… something that is done out of habit. In fact, it’s okay not to do it. What’s important is the meaning, the goal, the sincerity. Even without a proposal, Uncle Jeremy and Ava can still get married, right?”
The twins nodded. Their eyes brightened again. “So, can we call Ava Auntie yet?”
Ava almost choked on her own laughter. After glancing at Jeremy, she nodded shyly. “Yes.”
The cheers of the twins immediately filled the room. They got off the sofa then ran towards Ava.
“Auntie! Auntie!”
The tension melted. Everyone laughed lightly at their enthusiasm, including Jeremy. Even though in his heart, he felt guilty because he hadn’t had the chance to give Ava a proper proposal.
“Auntie Ava, thank you for accepting Uncle Jeremy. We are happy that you are officially part of our family.”
“Yeah, our family is getting bigger.” Emily stretched out her arms before catching Ava into her sweet hug.
Meanwhile, Frank and Kara said their congratulations. After that, they lightly gave the twins an order.
“Kids, how about you take Ava on a tour of our company? Introduce Savior to her.”
Louis immediately stood up straight pressing four fingers to his temple. “Ready, Daddy.”
