S3 185. Shooting Star
Ava watched the sky carefully. She seemed to be looking for something among the twinkling stars. When a line of white light
passed, she immediately pointed her finger, telling Jeremy where it
was.
“I saw one!”
Then, patting Jeremy’s chest, she whispered, “I hope I can give birth to our child smoothly.”
Jeremy smiled at the prayer. “Amen. I hope you and our baby are always healthy.”
Ava smiled slightly. “You have to find a shooting star first, Jeremy.
Then you can make a wish. That’s the rule.”
After kissing her head, Jeremy sighed. “Okay.”
Just as he was returning his gaze to space, Ava raised her finger
again. “There’s another one. I hope our child will be like you.”
Jeremy’s brows immediately furrowed. “Why? I actually baby looks like you.”
“You have a handsome face, Jeremy, while I’m just ordina have perfect body and a good personality. Our child will be amazing if he or she looks like you.”

“I judge it myself.
”
“No, Ava. In my opinion, you are the most beautiful and attractive
woman on earth. I like your uniqueness. Women tend to be noisy and complicated, but you are so calm and simple.”

“On earth?” Ava sighed amusedly. “What about on other planets?”
Jeremy smiled crookedly. “I don’t know about that. I’ve never met a woman from outside the earth.”
While stroking Ava’s arm, Jeremy looked again for the passing light.
“Finally, I found one,” he raised his hand.
“What is your hope?” Ava whispered warmly. Jeremy’s heart melted
when she heard that.
“I hope your work at Savior goes smoothly.”
Ava immediately pulled her head back. “Why are you making a wish for me? Make a wish for yourself, Jeremy.”
“It’s actually for my own good. If your work goes well, you’ll feel at home and won’t have to return to your old profession. I can rest easy
without having to worry about you.”
Ava’s eyes narrowed. “Are you worried if I work as a nurse?”
“Yes. I can’t bear to see you taking care of other people, especially to the point of difficulty and exhaustion. Not to mention if you have a patient who can go berserk at any time. I might end up following to make sure you’re safe from their attacks.”
Ava bit her lip, holding back her annoyance. “Being a nurse isn’t th
bad.”
“But still, I don’t have the heart. If you manage the Savior Humane Society, you only need to organize your team and give orders. Your job is much lighter even though the responsibility is greater.”
While looking at the sky, Ava again stroked Jeremy’s chest. ” Compared to that, working at Savior is certainly much easier. I think I will feel at home there. Moreover, the goal is the same as my mission, helping people. I will definitely enjoy it.

Suddenly, a shooting star flashed by again. Ava quickly raised her hand. However, before she could speak, Jeremy said, “There’s one more thing.”
Ava frowned. “Jeremy, you broke the rules. You haven’t raised your hand, so that’s mine.”
“But I claimed it first. You should have cried out the moment you saw
it.’
“That’s because I have to take a breath before I speak.”
“I took a breath too.”
“But you’re not pregnant. If there was a baby in your stomach, it would take you longer to catch your breath
Jeremy snorted softly. “Really? Even though the baby is still very
small?”
“Yes!”
While chewing his lips, Jeremy stroked his wife’s shoulder. “Okay, that’s yours. What wish do you want to make?”
Ava pressed her lips with her chin. Her voice suddenly tur ft. “I hope your work always runs smoothly, so you don’t have to overtime or maybe, you can go home early. That way, you ha free time for me and our baby.”
“I like that hope. I’ll try to always come home on time.”
“Okay. Let’s see if it’s a fake promise or a real one.”
“Okay.” Jeremy pulled Ava’s hand to his lips, kissing it gently. Then, laughing softly, the two of them hugged each other tighter.
“Ava, are there any other activities you want to do besides stargazing?
Jeremy whispered in a voice that was pleasing to the ear.

Ava shook her head slowly. “No. I already feel very happy.”
“Are you sure?”
Ava turned her head slightly, smiling. “I don’t know if other couples. consider this a pleasant honeymoon or not. But for me, this is the perfect honeymoon.”
Ava closed her eyes and took a deep breath. “Such a quiet
atmosphere, fresh air,” she opened her eyes, glancing upwards briefly, “and a sky full of stars. The combination of all that makes me feel
more at ease.
Jeremy smiled and kissed her forehead. “Me too. It feels like there are only two of us in this world. Little One is probably annoyed because he hasn’t been able to see all this beauty and laugh between us.” Jeremy stroked his wife’s stomach.
Ava snorted softly. “Even though he can’t see, he can feel what I feel./ I’m sure he’s happy with this peace. But, Jeremy….”
Jeremy peeked at his wife’s face. “Yes?”
“In five years, how about we take Little One here? He will definitely happy to see billions of stars and other celestial bodies that are less amazing.”
