90. Rowan Visits Louis

“Mr. Harper,” greeted Jeremy respectfully. There was no way he would throw out the fierce old man and his assistant in front of the twins.

Rowan snorted. He looked at Jeremy with a mysterious curve of his lips. “You’ve changed professions, huh?”

Jeremy’s jaw tightened. He couldn’t deny that Frank assigned him to look after the children. In other words, the boss had put the twins as a priority. A man as intelligent as Rowan would definitely understand that his grandson had discovered the truth.

“I’m still your grandson’s assistant, Sir.”

Rowan’s eyebrow twitched. Still with the same curl of his lips, he

turned to Louis and Emily. “Hello, Kids.”

“Hello, Sir!” The Twins sound unified.

“Aren’t you a very busy person? You came to visit me?” Louis

continued in a tone of disbelief.

While Emily waited with interest for an answer, Rowan curled he corner of his lips. “Well, since you kids are special, there’s no taking a little time.”

“You are indeed a kind grandfather!” Emily got off the couch and hugged Rowan’s legs. “Thank you, Mr. Harper.”

Everyone suddenly froze. No one expected that Emily would dare do that, except Louis. Those two innocent children were not able t recognize enemies and threats yet.

Sean glanced at his boss. He knew that Rowan didn’t like being touched and so far, no one had ever dared to do that.

‘Come here, Kind Grandfather. Sit here.” She directed Rowan to a

chair on the side of the bed. “We don’t have many friends here. So, your presence means a lot to Louis.”

Rowan sat awkwardly. His gaze accidentally met a boy who was smiling so wide that his chubby cheeks were pushed upwards.

“Emily is right. I’m glad someone cares about me. Thank you, Mister Harper. You’re such a good person!”

Rowan took a deep breath and glanced in another direction. His legs were restless as if he had not found a comfortable footing.

Standing next to Rowan, Emily secretly observed Sean. Her eyes. flickered at the item the muscular man brought.

“Mr. Big Body, what are you carrying? It looks heavy. If you’re tired, just put it on the couch,” she said haltingly.

Rowan froze again. Even though his expression was flat, his heart was in turmoil. His purpose actually was to put the device there, a diffuser that would spray toxic vapors when the remote control button was pressed.

“That….”

For the first time, Jeremy saw Rowan hanging sentences for no reason. He became increasingly alert.

“It’s a very important secret project. That’s why I asked my assistant to carry it along.”

Emily’s mouth rounded. Her head nodded innocently. “Oh, you’re afraid the project will be stolen.”

is more or less like that.”

Rowan laughed silently in a sudden. With sparkling eyes, he observe the 3D design from all sides.

“So in your opinion, where is the strategic location to build it?”

“What else have you made besides this?”
