Natasha POV
I sighed and walked out of the restaurant where I worked as a waitress.
It was the month of October and the weather is too hot. I was literally melting in this heat.
I said goodbye to the owner who was an old man. He is a good kind man.
It's very difficult to find a man like him. He respects us, girls, very much.
According to me, he is the best employer I have seen in my whole 17 years of life.
I started to walk toward my house which is half an hour away on foot from this restaurant.
I wiped my hands from my denim jeans. I pulled my hair out of the ponytail and made a messy bun.
It was evening time and I looked at my right side and saw a park where many kids were playing.
I walked toward the park and sat on the bench and watched kids playing with their parents.
I always come here to watch these kids playing with their parents whenever I have some time.
I always craved for it. Growing up in an orphanage is not easy. It's quite difficult to stay in that place.
I don't know who my parents are or anyone. I had spent 14 years in the orphanage.
I always have asked Mother Angela about my parents since childhood. But she always avoided the question.
I remember how she used to tell me that my parents would come to take me back to my house.
I was a child so I used to search for them through the window of my room.
I did that for 10 years but when I completed my 14 years of life, she told me the truth, the truth of my life.
She told me that my parents don't want me as they were teen parents. So they left me here.
I cried that day so much. I always thought that they would come and take me to my real home.
But I finally know the reality of my life. That I don't have any home. I have nothing.
I left the orphanage and started to work so that I can support myself.
I had slept on the streets for 5 days when I had no home. But then Mr. Bill Cameron, the owner of the restaurant, found me and told me that I can stay with him.
But I denied him and told him that I won't as I can't give him anything.
He chuckled and told me to work for him. I thought about this then nodded my head.
He lives with his wife and she is an angel. Their behavior toward me was very good.
I stayed in their home for one month and started to work in the restaurant as a waitress.
I also worked in their home to pay for my rent. Then after that, I had found a one-room apartment for rent.
