His Destructive, Toxic Love novel Chapter 312

Eliza finally turned around, her eyes darting to the rear of the car. When she spotted the familiar license plate, her heart skipped a beat. It was Casper's car. What on earth was he doing?

The car behind was speeding up, quickly pulling alongside hers. Casper rolled down his window and shouted, "Pull the handbrake! Pump the brakes, but don't slam them! I'll use my car to force a stop."

Noel, looking completely bewildered, nodded quickly. "Got it," he said.

But Eliza's heart pounded with fear. Casper's car was already on the outer edge of the road; just one wrong move, and it could tumble down the cliff into the deep, dark sea below. They wouldn’t even make it to the water before it was all over.

"No, it's too dangerous!" she cried, trying to halt Casper's reckless plan. "Wait until the car runs out of gas. It'll stop naturally."

"The car will just keep speeding up, and you’ll lose control long before that happens. Trust me," Casper replied, his voice calm and steady.

In the midst of the chaos, his calmness felt like a lifeline. Eliza decided to trust him.

Casper's car inched closer to hers, the two vehicles making contact with a screech of metal, sparks flying. The sound was terrifying, but Eliza's car started to slow down.

Noel yelled in excitement, "The car’s slowing down, Ms. Valerie. We’re going to be okay!"

As the speed decreased, the car's systems began to stabilize. Still, they were moving too fast. "There's a speed bump ahead. Head for it," Casper said.
