His Destructive, Toxic Love novel Chapter 340

Aunt Mae had really outdone herself this time. And Casper? He was not much better. He used to be so cautious, but ever since he lost his memory, it seemed like his smarts went with it.

The whole situation wasn't hard to crack. Dillon spent less than an hour digging up the truth for Caroline. He copied the hotel dining area footage and showed it to her.

"It was Katie who slipped the drug into Mr. Casper's drink while he was in the restroom, but she did it with Faye’s approval. In other words, drugging Mr. Casper was their joint effort."

Caroline clenched her teeth in anger. Mae had brought her stepdaughter back from abroad, and now they were targeting Casper. The two of them were acting with blatant disregard for consequences.

As Dillon and Caroline were talking, Mae and Katie approached, their faces filled with anxiety and tension.

"Caroline, is Casper alright?"

"Caroline, how's Casper doing?"

Caroline's brows knitted together, her tone sharp. "How would you not know how he is? Have you forgotten what you've done already?"

Mae's gaze darkened, and she forced a nervous smile. "Caroline, what are you talking about? Katie and I just got here; how would we know…"

"Aunt, you're part of the Welton family. How could you team up with this stepdaughter of yours to harm Casper? You've really outdone yourselves by using such a drug. If anything serious happened to Casper, could you ever make it right?"

There was a coldness in Caroline's voice. She glared at Katie, who was now hanging her head low. "What were you thinking? Were you trying to sleep with him? Katie, who gave you the nerve to set your sights on Casper? I'm telling you, if Casper suffers even the slightest harm, you'll regret it."
