Listen up.
What kind of crazy talk is this?
Eliza felt that Zach was getting more and more unhinged.
"Get help if you're sick," she snapped.
Eliza stood up to leave.
Zach grabbed her wrist, forcefully keeping her in place, "Don't go just yet. Let's chat... about your 'ex-husband.'"
She knew Zach was no pushover.
Since he knew Casper had returned to Falconridge, he must have been plotting all sorts of ways to deal with him.
It seemed like there was no way out.
So, he had turned his attention to her.
"Zach, can you leave me out of your issues with Casper?" she said, clearly repulsed.
"You are the link between us. How can I not involve you?" he tilted his head, his lips curving into a sinister smile, "I had no other choice."
"Zach, if you can't beat Casper, go to your father or your half-brothers. What help do you think I could offer?"
She yanked her wrist free, her face full of disgust.
Zach chuckled lightly, "I understand targeting the weak spot. I might not be able to beat Casper, but I can hit him where it hurts."
His words had a deeper meaning.
Eliza's heart tightened.
Knowing Zach, this man was capable of stooping to any low.
Could he be planning to use her and her son to threaten Casper?
Casper had amnesia and didn't even remember he had a son. If anything happened, he might not be willing to help.
