His Destructive, Toxic Love novel Chapter 432

Dillon couldn't help but frown. Ronan really didn't seem to get it—apart from the late Jeffrey, no one else had ever gotten through to Casper. Clearing his throat, Dillon stepped forward, “Mr. Ronan, how about I arrange a meal for you first? It’s quite the trip to Falconridge. You should try some of our local specialties. Let Ms. Susan join you for a tour as well.”

Dillon was offering a polite out.

Ronan glanced at Casper's somber face but didn't reject Dillon's offer. “That sounds good. Marriage is a big deal, and rushing it wouldn’t do. Let's have a meal first.” He turned to his daughter, “Come on, Susan, let's grab some lunch.”

“Okay, Dad.”

After seeing Ronan and his daughter off, Dillon returned to the CEO's office. Casper's cigarette was still burning, nearly scorching his fingers. Dillon quickly took it and snuffed it out.

“Mr. Casper, what’s on your mind?”

Casper snapped out of his thoughts. Looking up at Dillon, he said, “The Torres family wants to latch onto Welton International. I can make that happen.”

Dillon was momentarily taken aback. “Mr. Casper, you mean... you’re seriously considering getting engaged to Ms. Susan?”

To Casper, a marriage without love was just a business deal. It all depended on what the Torres family could offer in return for his status. If the interests aligned, it would be a fair exchange. If not, well, the tables would turn.

“If she wants to marry, I’m not opposed, but...” he had his conditions, “...it depends on Ronan's dowry.”

“Ronan’s only got Susan. He wouldn’t be stingy, right?” Dillon speculated.
