His Destructive, Toxic Love novel Chapter 472

Even in his rage, he made wild claims that Casper would pay for this. But he didn't follow through.

After locking Susan in her room, Ronan quietly pulled Dillon aside, "So, has Mr. Casper calmed down yet? I've got a few projects with Welton International and I can't afford any fallout."

Dillon's brow furrowed slightly.

He wasn’t a father, but he knew what a father’s reaction should be in this situation. Yet, Ronan was indifferent, more concerned with his business than his daughter. It pained Dillon to see.

"Mr. Ronan, the business stuff will have to wait for Mr. Casper's final word. Mr. Casper gave Ms. Susan a serious lesson, which you should understand."

"Susan’s been spoiled and often messes up. Some punishment is deserved. As long as Mr. Casper cools down and our business isn't affected, I'm fine with it."

Ronan's eyes were filled with insincere cheer. He was overly respectful to Dillon, anxious to avoid offending him, and eager for him to put in a good word with Casper. Before sending Dillon off, he slipped him a shopping card worth thousands.

"Thanks for bringing Susan back, Mr. Dillon. Take care."

Dillon glanced at the card and smirked, disdainfully. From his initial arrogance with Casper to his current sycophancy, Ronan perfectly showcased the spectrum of human nature. It was just sad for Susan, in the prime of her youth. In the end...

Dillon shook his head and tossed the shopping card into a nearby trash bin as he left.

After wrapping up things in Falconridge, Casper and Dillon headed back to Oak Falls. Eliza was still in a coma. All Casper could do was stay by her side.
