Darn it, he actually told her to get lost.
Eliza was steaming, jumped up, and slapped him again, "Go on, try yelling at me one more time!"
"I..." His anger deflated instantly from the slap.
"Casper, you think you can dodge what you owe me and just live the easy life? Think again. I'm telling you, that's not gonna happen."
He looked at her with a struggle, "So, what do you want from me? Do you really have to push me like this?"
Was she pushing him?
That wasn't what she meant to do.
Had she gone about it the wrong way?
Eliza didn't try tearing off his mask.
But she sure wasn't going to let him shut himself off either.
"You've got plenty of staff here, and I need someone to look after me. I'll be staying here for my recovery. You don't have a problem with that, do you?" She tilted her head up, eyes daring him to disagree.
Casper locked eyes with her for a few moments, then gave in, "No problem."
"Great, get a room ready for me, and make sure there's a chef and a nanny. I'll have Juan bring the baby over."
With that, Eliza headed downstairs.
Just as she reached the bottom, she ran into Dillon.
Dillon gave a slight bow, "Ms. Eliza."
"You're no saint either." Eliza lifted her foot and stomped hard on Dillon's, grinding it a bit, "We'll settle our accounts later."
Dillon inhaled sharply from the pain but kept a straight face.
"Yes, ma'am."
Eliza called Juan.
Upon hearing the truth, Juan was momentarily speechless.
Before long, he arrived at the mansion with the baby.
The early-arriving nanny quickly took the baby from him.
Juan nudged Eliza, "So Casper's really alive?"
