His Destructive, Toxic Love novel Chapter 617

When Audrey got word that Brock was sick, she dashed to the hospital. As soon as Eliza spotted her, tears welled up, and she threw herself into her mother's arms. "Mom."

"Don't worry, sweetie, I'm here," Audrey whispered, gently stroking Eliza's back. "We'll find a donor match soon enough. Brock's going to be okay."

"Mom, I'm terrified..." Eliza's voice trembled with the fear of the unknown and the uncertainty surrounding Brock's condition. She was on the brink, ready to crumble. "What if Brock..."

"That's not going to happen, honey. Don't let your mind go there." Audrey knew Eliza's emotions were all over the place. Casper should've been there with her, "Where's he at? Didn't he come in?"

Eliza dabbed at her tears, her voice tight with emotion, "He's outside."

"Don't worry, Casper will figure this out. He'll save Brock." Audrey wiped away the tears from Eliza's face, her voice filled with warmth and reassurance. "Brock's going to pull through, I promise."

With Audrey's comforting presence, Eliza began to relax.

A few hours later, Casper burst into the hospital room, a medical report clutched in his hand. "We found a match! Brock can have the surgery now!"

"Really?" Audrey's eyes sparkled with relief as she clasped her hands together. "Our Brock is truly blessed."

Eliza's emotions were a whirlwind—should she feel relief or heartbreak?

Her eyes turned icy as she looked past Casper, noticing the woman and boy standing behind him. The boy had a bandage on his arm, a clear sign of a blood test.

"Who matched?" Eliza's voice was sharp, each word like a shard of ice.

"It's Dylan. He's the match," Casper replied, his smile seeming out of place, almost mocking.

"Why him?" Eliza's gaze bore into Casper, her voice filled with suspicion. "Why aren't his own parents a match, but this stranger is? Explain this to me, Casper!"

Her voice shook, a mix of anger, disappointment, and deep despair.
