Fiona looked at Casper's undeniably handsome face and let out a soft sigh.
"Casper, you haven't changed a bit, still as good-looking as ever. But after all I’ve been through, I've lost my knack for charming men. You're my only shot."
She slipped under Casper's blanket.
With the rapid snaps of her phone camera, Fiona quickly sent the scandalous photos to the always-hungry gossip media.
Just as Eliza was about to kick off a seminar on the latest season's collection, she saw the photos.
Her assistant, Brian, was visibly uncomfortable, hesitating to say something, his expression a mix of urgency and reluctance, which piqued her curiosity.
"What's going on?" she asked.
Brian nervously handed over his phone, "Ms. Eliza, there's gossip that Mr. Casper has a new flame. Rumors say your marriage is on the rocks, and it's all over the trending searches. Maybe you should take a look?"
Eliza was momentarily taken aback.
Still puzzled, she took the phone from him.
The news photos were sensational, downright scandalous.
The images of a man and a woman kissing were as steamy as any scene from today's dramas, both enticing and suggestive.
Even though their faces were blurred, the intensity of the scene was palpable.
The plan to divorce Casper wasn't supposed to be public knowledge.
Casper, being the sharp businessman he was, wouldn't let such private photos leak, especially not these intimate ones.
Thinking it over, it seemed like a drama orchestrated by Fiona herself.
Why would she release these personal photos? To rile up his wife, hoping for a swift divorce from Casper?
Or was it to make her and Casper's relationship the talk of Falconridge?
Did she believe that embarrassing Casper publicly would force him to make things official with her?
But did she really think labeling Casper as a cheater would get her the reaction she wanted?
Eliza handed the phone back to Brian and stood up with a calm demeanor, "This kind of news is just noise."
"Ms. Eliza, are you and Mr. Casper... really okay?" the assistant asked, genuine concern in his voice.
Eliza smiled slightly, "The adult way is to keep things under wraps until something actually changes."
"Oh."
