Evadne didn’t waste a second, rushing to the hospital with Jason by her side.

On the way, Jason couldn’t help but notice how pale she looked. His voice was filled with concern as he said, "Miss Evadne, you should really take a break. Your own health isn't fully recovered yet, and running around all night is going to take its toll on you!"

"Out of all the grandchildren, besides Mr. Thaddeus, you’re the one Mr. Frederic loves the most," Mr. Murray said gently, seeing through her hesitation. "Go on, Ms. Evadne, Mr. Frederic has been waiting for you."

As she stepped into the room, the soft morning light bathed her grandfather, who lay weakly against the pillows, half-awake.
