Iris tilted her head to the side and looked at Jin Liwei with an expression of puzzlement. "But we’re not married yet."
"So what?" He returned her puzzled expression with seriousness. "We’re already married in my heart since the moment you told me that you love me too in front of that winter waterfalls back in Cross Academy last year. A wedding is just a formality. Or do you still not think of me as your husband?"
Her gaze dropped to the beautiful diamond engagement ring on her finger, causing her mouth to curve up and a tinge of pink to colour both her cheeks. Then she looked at him straight in the eyes again. "You’re right."
His eyes narrowed. "I’m right that you still don’t think of me as your husband?"
"No," she quickly denied. "You’re right that even if we haven’t officially married yet, we’re already living together as husband and wife, building our family and home, and also planning our future together."
He nodded, pleased. "So call me husband, then." He raised both eyebrows and waited in anticipation.
The blush on her cheeks deepened and her smile became shy. "Husband," she whispered.
"Louder."
"Husband."
"Again."
She giggled. "Husband."
"Nice. Again."
"Husband!"
He was now grinning. "Yes, wife. Is there anything this husband can do for my dear wife?"
She wrapped her arms around his neck and nodded. "There’s something I really need right now."
"What is it, wife? Tell your husband. Don’t be shy." He pulled her closer while maintaining eye contact to make sure that he caught all of her expressions.
"Kiss me."
"Ah, what a coincidence. This husband also needs a kiss from wife." Then he caught her lips and kissed her until she became a moaning puddle of hot jelly.
