Chapter 16
She banged on the door like crazy, crying out hoarsely.
“Impossible! You lied to me!”
“Sergio, am I the person you liked, right?”
“You clearly loved me for so many years, how could you possibly fall for that woman!”
Realizing her mistake, she started apologizing again.
“I’m sorry, it was my fault, Sergio. I shouldn’t have lied to you.”
“I just cared about you too much, that’s why I came up with such a method…”
“Do you know how scared I was of losing you, Sergio? I’m sorry, I love you. Can we start over?”
Miriam had never been so scared before. She knew that this time Sergio was really angry.
He would never treat her like this, no matter how mischievous she was in the past.
The sky gradually darkened, and no matter how Miriam pleaded, Sergio never came out to see her.
A man like him, when he loves you, can lift you up to the sky, but when he doesn’t love you, he can also trample you down to hell.
-Perhaps tired of crying, Miriam knew that she couldn’t see him today and had to leave.
In Summervale, Sylvia looked at Quentin in front of her, who was familiar yet unfamiliar, and her
heart ached as if it was about to break.
She didn’t expect that he came back to life, but the price was that he completely forgot about her.
The person in front of me looked at me, with no trace of affection in their eyes, only politeness and
distance.
She refused to give up and kept asking persistently.
“Don’t you really remember me? I am Syl, your Syl.”
Quentin furrowed his brow, thought carefully for a long time, but still shook his head.
“Sorry, I really don’t seem to know you.”
She felt a sudden sharp pain in her heart, how could he not recognize her?
They have known each other since childhood and have been each other’s only family. They made a promise to always be together in the future.

She stood up and squatted in front of him, eagerly helping him recall the past.
“Quentin, just think about it. We met at the orphanage, and I was only 10 years old back then. I was
being bullied by the other kids there, and it was you who protected me.”
“Also, back then, I couldn’t eat enough every day, and it was you who quietly left your cookies for
me to eat,”
“Later, we got into university, started working, and have been living together. We agreed to get married after the Chinese New Year, and promised to be together forever.”
“Do you not remember any of these?”
Quentin looked at the girl in front of him, her eyes sparkling, and for some reason, he felt a pang in
his chest.
He wanted to recall those past moments she had spoken about, but no matter how hard he tried, it
was just a blank space.
Do they really know each other? But why can’t he remember anything at all?
Even the incident she mentioned about him being in a car accident, he has no recollection of it at all.
What on earth happened?
Seeing that he couldn’t remember, Sylvia had to temporarily give up.
出
As long as he lived through it, he couldn’t remember anything important about her for the time
