Chapter 18
Just a few days later, she looked much better than before.
When walking, the footsteps were light, with a smile at the corners of the mouth, seemingly in a good mood.
Sergio walked towards her step by step until the two of them met face to face.
She was walking without paying attention and unexpectedly bumped into his arms.
Sylvia’s nose bumped into a human wall, and she felt a little embarrassed as she covered her nose and apologized.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry.”
The fruits in her hand fell to the ground, and she had to bend down to pick them up while muttering
softly.
“Don’t break it, this strawberry is Quentin’s favorite.”
Just as she picked up the fruit and looked up, their eyes met, and she was startled and took a few steps back.
Sergio! How could he be here!
Seeing the shocked expression on her face, Sergio felt both surprised and delighted, and
instinctively wanted to embrace her in his arms.
“Syl, it’s really you!”
Sylvia hadn’t even realized it yet, when he had already embraced her in his arms.
The familiar scent of cologne filled the air, and she instantly became alert, with alarm bells ringing
in her heart.
It was really him!
She suddenly pushed him away, her tone carrying a hint of displeasure.
“How did you come here? Could it be…”
Sergio was hurt by her reaction to his arrival. He thought she would be happy, but he didn’t expect this kind of response.
“Syl, I came to find you, were you not happy?”
Sylvia straightened her clothes, her tone indifferent.

with him.
Yeah, she must have been angry.
At this thought, he quickly apologized to her.
“Sorry, Syl, it was all my fault before.”
“I’ve listened to the recordings you gave me. I misunderstood you about those things in the past.”
“I came here to tell you that, actually, the person I have always liked in my heart is you.”
“Would you forgive me? As long as you forgive me, I will spend my whole life making it up to you.”
“Syl, believe me, can we start over?”
Listening to his sincere apology, Sylvia couldn’t help but find it ridiculous.
She understood why he had come to her world, probably because he, like herself, was bound to a
system.
Although she didn’t know what his mission was, she had lost interest in it now.
Her life had already started anew, Sergio and all the people and things from before were in the past.
And she never liked Sergio.
Quentin was able to come back to life, to some extent, which had something to do with her. She
