Chapter 3
Lilyana walked towards her seat as she entered the auction venue.
Just as I was about to sit down, the chair that was originally behind me was suddenly snatched away
by a big hand.
She didn’t react for a moment, and with a thud, she fell to the ground.
The pain from the broken coccyx made her face turn pale.
Just as she was about to get up, a glass of red wine poured down from above her head.
The carefully prepared attire and makeup were instantly in disarray, and the once quiet auction hall erupted in laughter.
She looked up and saw the Marquez brothers standing above her.
Branden’s gaze was heavy, and his sharp eyes narrowed slightly. “Didn’t they say they would never come to us again for the rest of their lives? Why, couldn’t they resist it so soon?”
Braxton smirked mockingly on his indifferent face and said, “I can’t believe I thought you genuinely wanted to give up, only to receive the news that the Marquez family is going to hold a wedding in half a month. So, which one of the three of us did you choose in the end?”
Deven looked gloomy and gritted his teeth as he said, “No matter who you choose, I must tell you that today is just a small warning. If you really marry us, there will be no good days after marriage, only more misery than today.”
As soon as the three people spoke, the entire venue was filled with sighs.
“Oh, how miserable! The young lady from a top–notch wealthy family, so disgraceful.”
“It has been so many years, none of the three scions of the Marquez family liked her. If it were me, I would have stopped pursuing her long ago.”
“Who says it’s not? It’s already so miserable before getting married. If we really get married, who knows how much harder life will be in the future.”
They watched the show, pointing and whispering, but also mixed with a hint of sympathy.
Lilyana took a deep breath and after a while, she took out a few wet wipes from her bag. She wiped off the sticky red wine from her face and body before finally sitting down and propping up a chair.
“Let me say it one last time, I was getting married in half a month, but the groom is not any of you.”

Branden furrowed his brow and said, “Weren’t you married into the Marquez family?”
“Yes,” she answered calmly.
Braxton sneered, “One moment you say it’s not, the next moment you say it is. Besides the three of us, who else in the Marquez family could possibly marry you? What kind of cat–and–mouse game are you playing again?”
“You don’t think that this will make us change our minds, do you? We don’t like you, our hearts only belong to Violet. No matter what tricks you play, it’s better for you to give up on this hope!” Deven said impatiently.
Lilyana was about to speak when the auction started.
“The charity auction is now commencing, and I will now introduce the first item…”
Violet quickly pulled the hands of the three Marquez brothers and gently advised, “Mr. Branden, Mr. Braxton, Mr. Deven, after all, Ms. Fitzgerald is engaged to the Marquez family. In the end, she will be the rightful Mrs. Marquez. It would be best if you didn’t treat her this way.”
“Violet, the person we liked was you. Even if we married her, she would only have the title of a wife, not comparable to the place you hold in our hearts!”
The Marquez family’s three brothers all expressed their loyalty simultaneously.
-They competed to take several items that Violet liked.
Lilyana remained indifferent throughout, quietly waiting for the final item to be presented.
Finally, the watch was presented.
