Chapter 15
As soon as Donte woke up, he smelled a strong scent of disinfectant.
The side effects of alcohol were still spreading, feeling dizzy and heavy–headed, with a heavy and sour stomach, and a faint pain.
He stared blankly at his surroundings, and his confused consciousness gradually returned.
The Leblanc family, who were standing by, saw him wake up. Although they breathed a sigh of relief, their faces remained gloomy.
“How long are you going to make a fuss and go to extremes for a woman?”
Several brothers also gathered around and began earnestly advising.
“Maeve has been gone for a month now, and there’s been no news at all. She must be doing it on purpose, Donte. Let it go.”
“Yeah, what kind of woman can’t you find? Why do you have to hang yourself on this tree?”
Donte has heard these words countless times in the past month.
He never paid attention before, and now he just treats it as if it were a passing breeze.
Those bloodshot eyes were dull and lifeless, with thin lips tightly pressed together, and only stubbornness remained on the face covered in stubble.
Seeing his son’s self–indulgent and decadent appearance, his father, Adrien Leblanc, couldn’t contain his anger any longer and finally lost his temper.
“You were the only son of the Leblanc family, carrying the future of the Leblanc Group on your shoulders, indulging in the love of your children every day. What did you look like?”
“I finally told you that I had chosen a bride, and you must attend the wedding in five days. If you still remain so disobedient, then leave in the future!”
After saying that, Adrien didn’t even look at him and slammed the door as he left.
The room suddenly fell silent.
Watching his brothers remain silent and afraid to breathe, Donte propped himself up, his voice hoarse and weary.
“Who did Sir Leblanc take a liking to?”
“Mylie Munoz, the third child of the Munoz family.”

People from the Munoz family?
Donte let out a soft hum, his gaze turning slightly cold.
“Go and tell her, my marriage, no one can control me. If she is sensible, she should voluntarily call
off the wedding. Otherwise, don’t blame me for not giving face to the Munoz family.”
Just by hearing Donte’s tone, the brothers knew for sure that he would not give up easily.
Just thinking about the furious Adrien a moment ago, they could only muster the courage to
persuade him.
“Donte, in our circle, marriage has always been a transaction. Adrien has already issued the final ultimatum, and the Munoz family is not to be messed with. Maybe it’s better to give up?”
“Yeah, the wedding invitation had already been sent out. Now it’s like the arrow is on the string. If the bride wants to change, let her change. Even if Maeve comes back, her family background is not a
match.”
Donte didn’t expect that a few brothers who grew up wearing the same pants as him would also speak such offensive words.
