Chapter 17
Time flew by, and soon the day of the wedding arrived.
The media received news of Donte’s upcoming marriage several months ago, but they had no idea
who the bride was.
It was recently revealed that the daughter of the Munoz family, not long ago, married into the
Leblanc family, which has caused quite a discussion within the circle.
So by the time the wedding started, there were already countless reporters and paparazzi gathered
outside the hotel.
Everyone wanted to get firsthand news, and many people even disguised themselves and sneaked in
to the scene to start live broadcasting.
Soon, the entry for “the Leblanc and Munoz families‘ wedding of the century” was pushed to the top of the trending searches, attracting countless people to click and join in the excitement.
At twelve o’clock, the wedding officially began, and the bride took the stage, but the groom was
missing.
The emcee was able to hold the atmosphere of the scene at first, but after half an hour passed, Donte’s figure was still nowhere to be seen, and he could no longer control the situation.
The few insiders below whispered about the incident of changing the bride one month before the
wedding, and slowly it spread.
On stage, the Leblanc family were as anxious as ants on a hot pan, trying every possible way to find
someone.
The Munoz family became pale with anger upon hearing these comments and couldn’t help but lose
their temper on the spot.
“Since you don’t want to get married so much, then let’s not do it!”
As soon as the words fell, the door of the hall opened.
Donte appeared in front of everyone wearing a black suit, looking much more energetic than he did a few days ago.
He returned to his careless appearance and his tone was quite inappropriate.
“Who said we didn’t get married?”
Upon hearing these words, the Leblanc and Munoz families could only barely suppress their anger.
The host also intervened and the atmosphere at the scene returned to normal.
Amidst the gaze of the crowd, Donte approached Mylie, who was dressed in a white gown.
As he looked at her face with a shy smile, a hint of coldness flashed in his eyes.
The process progressed to the oath–taking stage, and when the emcee asked the question of whether he was willing to marry her, Donte picked up the microphone, looked around disdainfully, and spoke.
“I didn’t want to.”
As soon as this sentence came out, the scene instantly became chaotic, and the live broadcast room was also flooded with exclamation marks and question marks.
The Leblanc family was furious, but Donte remained indifferent, facing the group of people holding up their live–streaming phones.
“I vowed in my life that I would never marry anyone other than Maeve!”
“Maeve, did you hear me? No matter where you were hiding, no matter what you were doing, I just wanted to tell you that I would definitely find you!”
“Do you still remember the promise you made to be with me forever? I said I would only love you in this lifetime, and it would never change!”
One minute later, the entries “Who is Maeve” and “MaeveDonte Immortal Love” also topped the
charts.
The whole internet was discussing who the woman was that made the richest person in Rosebury
worried.
