His Innocent Sera novel Chapter 9

The red light of the gym danced over his strong, sharp features. Sweat sprayed with every punch, his nostrils flaring as Nate pounded the bag with relentless force, sending it swinging violently. The poor thing had already begun to burst at the seams but Sin knew no mercy. His mind stuck on her- playing the sinful moment- her, again and again. He just wasn't able to get over how tempting she looked soaked from tip to toe. Her delicate curves teased his mind mercilessly, turning him crazy. Her nipples poking through the fabric, her glossy lips, her glistening neck...... With a guttural growl, he sent his fist crashing into the bag, ripping it apart.

He glared sharply at the bag as if it was the cause of his distress but no, it wasn't. The cause of his distress was that girl with speaking eyes and angelic laughter. She barely spoke in front of him but her eyes.....they would convey what her mouth would never. There was a whole world hidden behind those irises, untouched, unreachable. He was determined to break past those walls, invade that world, and claim it—just as he had claimed her.

Frustrated beyond belief, he grabbed the water bottle and dumped its contents over his head. The cold liquid cascaded down his angular face, tracing a tantalizing path over his ripped abs, and soaking his prominent V-line- yet it did nothing to douse the fire raging inside him. He was tempted to go to her and do something that Exhaling a defeated sigh, he tossed away the bottle and stomped out of the gym.

........

"Where did you disappear yesterday night? I was looking for you," Glo whined.

"Why?" he questioned, his tone laced with disinterest A sultry grin curved her lips upon hearing the question. She extended her hand to stroke his chest but stopped after seeing the coldness in his eyes. Her arm dropped to the side but the smile remained intact.

"You didn't take your gift," she cooed, acting coy. Nate looked down at her with disdain.

"Too used up to call it a gift," he remarked, unbothered by the hurt that flickered through her features.

"Why would you say that?" she asked, hurt.

"I merely stated the fact," Nate replied, indifferent to her feelings. She pouted.

"You are too rude sometimes," she grumbled, stomping her feet before storming off. Nate didn't bother to chase her.

.........

With a clenched jaw, Romeo slammed the tumbler onto the floor, shattering it into a million pieces.

"Fucking Serrano," he gritted out, clenching his fists, "I'll destroy them."

His youngest son, Giovanni cast a brief glance at the shattered pieces before meeting his dad's eyes.

"Don't worry, dad. Italy is going to be ours. I think I've caught his son's weakness," Giovanni declared mysteriously, a smirk playing over his lips.

A frown creased Romeo's features before he asked, "you did?" In response, Giovanni gave him a reassuring look.

"Just wait and watch, Dad. I am going to bring Nathaniel Serrano to his fucking knees. He'll never have Italy," Giovanni assured, pouring his dad another drink. Romeo took the glass from him, choosing to believe his son.

...............

After offering her prayers at church, she headed towards her school. The weekend was finally here. She loved weekends, not because they gave her rest—she never truly got to rest—but because they meant visiting the charitable hospital and serving those in need. There was a quiet peace in helping others, a fulfillment nothing else could give. A life spent in helping others is a life well spent. She had everything planned out, she was going to get her degree in social services and pursue a career in it.

The grand building of her school loomed over her as she stepped in through the Iron Gate. Her school looked more like some royal palace than an educational institute. Made sense, considering her school was attended by the elites of this city.

"Cupcake," someone suddenly shouted as she passed by them, making her turn and look. It was Gloria and her minions now sharing a good laugh at her expense.

"We should have her lick her "cupcakes' off the floor," her minion stated in a regretful tone, causing others to hum in agreement. Sera stood in silence, embarrassment creeping over her.

"She is so dumb. I can't even. How the fuck you are related to her?" another hurled in a condescending tone. Serafelt tears pressed against the back of her eyes.
