Chapter 277
Aria was ready to pick up her laptop and the files on the desk. But there were too many things, she couldn’t pick them all up at once, and the folder slipped to the ground.
She instinctively wanted to catch it with her foot, but her foot moved too fast and ended up kicking it away. In the end, the folder landed right at Kane’s feet.
The man couldn’t help but chuckle, breaking the silence.
Aria gritted her teeth and walked over to pick it up, steeling herself.
“Lord Grimfang had a powerful connections. If the surgery is successful tomorrow, it will only benefit you in this industry.”
She hesitated for a moment, then slowly stood up and said, “What does Alpha Ravencrest’s reminder mean? Do you not want this surgery to be successful?”
His gaze was deep, as if some emotion flashed through, “Do you really have to talk to me like this?”
“How do you want me to talk to you then?” Aria looked at him, “Like before, pretending to listen to you only, enduring your silent treatment?”
“Aria,” he said, his eyes deep and unreadable, “there were reasons for what happened in the past.”
“I know, you just think it was me who drove Seraphina away with your grandmother, right? Fine, I admit it now.”
Aria laughed, “It was me, I deliberately drove Seraphina away. Are you satisfied?”
Seeing his expressionless face, Aria assumed he believed her and was going to take his anger out on her. This was just perfect, maybe he would sign the Bond Dissolution Agreement without hesitation.
But few minutes passed, she didn’t see the man take out his anger on her.
Kane squinted his eyes, with a whirlpool stirring in the depths like the bottom of the sea, “So, in the end, you were still causing trouble with me because of Seraphina.”
Causing trouble?
