As Fabian’s sister was gentle and virtuous, Cameron wondered how Fabian turned out this way.
Cameron sighed and said, “I know you’re having a hard time here, but you wouldn’t have ended up like this if you hadn’t been so greedy and tried to steal the project.”
“I got it through legal means!” Fabian shouted, “You fucking gave it to me, remember? I thought you were trying to help me, but you ting me up instead! You fucking asshole!”
He tried to choke Cameron but couldn’t reach him through the bars. Even so, Fabian tried. It showed how much he hated Cameron.
“I didn’t set you up. Let me repeat it. It’s Rhea who did this to you,” Cameron said emphatically, “She used her drug to influence me so that I would give you the project. Why else would you have gotten it?
“You claim you got the contract legally, but La Beauté Group had already won the bid. The company is a much better candidate regarding cash flow and qualification. Why would I redo the bidding and give you the project?
“Did you genuinely get it lawfully? You should know the answer, shouldn’t you?” His questions stumped Fabian.
Cameron continued, “Did you care about the law when you tried to use me to gain an upper hand over your competitors? Now that you’re behind bars, you try to claim innocence. That’s just how the law works.”
Fabian was at a loss for words. He knew he was wrong but couldn’t accept the abrupt change of his fate.
Just a few days ago, everyone tried to curry his favor. He had been doing well and even daydreamed about his bright future, yet this happened.
