Ross thought his mother did not know that Fred wanted to control him, but he finally realized she knew everything. Although Yasmin appeared to be held captive by Fred, she had everything under control.
She could have done something, but she did not stop Fred from misleading Ross and making him leave. She just stood by and feigned ignorance. Ross even wondered what his mother would do if Fred had indeed managed to take over his mind.
'Would she try and save me or abandon me? No, she would never save me. She didn't even try to warn me, even though she knew I was in danger. I guess I'm nothing to her compared to her throne, huh?'
Ross found it hard to accept.
Still, Yasmin looked at him without remorse. She said blandly, "Yes, I knew. I also knew about Fred telling Rhea to hypnotize you and get you to look for me in Hyderland’s mountainous area. I even thought it was stupid of you to fall for it."
Nodding, Ross said, "Indeed, I was stupid enough to believe that you needed help."
