Margaret wanted to enter the entertainment industry, didn't she?
She would never allow it!
Stephanie could feel her mood getting uplifted by just imagining Margaret's miserable expression.
Sandra saw the change in Stephanie's expression from the corner of her eye and could not help but feel uneasy because of it.
She didn't expect Stephanie to use this method to mess with a newcomer.
She noticed that both of them shared the same last name, Simons. She pondered about the nature of their relationship.
However, this was not something she needed to think about.
"Miss Simons, about Tiana's character..." Sandra began talking.
Stephanie's mouth curved slightly. "I am the main character in Ancient Star. The Simons family also invested in this play. If Margaret is rejected for this role, I will get my father to propose the artists you are in charge of to play this role." she said.
"Thank you, Miss Simons." Sandra said with a smile.
It was indeed beneficial to have a strong family background. As the daughter of the Simons family, even though Stephanie was not very popular in the entertainment circle, her resources were great.
Margaret couldn't blame others for losing her role. She could only blame herself for not having a rich father like Stephanie did.
...
Margaret pushed open the door of the private room at the Emperor Hotel.
Margaret saw a few middle-aged men sitting inside. They should be the investors of the short movie.
Sandra and another girl were among the crowd of men, but she did not see the other Ancient Star actors or crew members.
Margaret felt that something was amiss.
The man everyone was centred around looked at Margaret with a sly smile.
"Say hi to Mr. Andrew." Sandra pushed Margaret forward.
Margaret's eyes were cold. "Hi, Mr. Andrew, I'm Margaret." She greeted the man.
