Honey, I'll Make You a Star (Margaret and Charleston) novel Chapter 27

Chapter 27 He Ate With That...

"Anyone besides you," Margaret deliberately went against him.

"Man or a woman?" Charleston asked.

"What would you do if it's a man?" Margaret stared at him with her beautiful eyes.

"If I find you with another man, I'll..." Charleston's eyes turned grim.

Margaret interrupted him without hesitation, "You'll do what? Charleston, this is an era of peace we live in. Don't be as violent as barbarians, okay?"

"How about I offer him a luxurious lifetime tour at a prison?" How dare this little thing complain that he was being violent? He would show her what actual violence was the day they were in bed together.

Margaret was speechless, and she immediately regretted arguing with Charleston. "Alright, let's have a meal together - my treat. Are you okay with any food?" she asked.

"Yes," Charleston answered casually.

The only thing he wanted to eat was her anyway.

"Okay then!" Margaret said, eyes flashing a light of mischievousness.

The car was parked in front of a hotpot restaurant.

There were scribbles on the wall of the hotpot restaurant. Margaret requested for a private room and then ordered the spiciest hotpot available.

She deliberately did this as she knew Charleston would have gastric pain if he ate spicy food.

Charleston looked at the woman, who was secretly proud of her own plan, and couldn't help but find this amusing.

The hot pot was served, but it turned out to be a hotpot with two separate soup bases - a spicy one and a non-spicy one.

"Excuse me, I actually ordered a spicy hotpot." Margaret was confused.

"Miss, I'm sorry. Our record here states that you actually ordered a two-soup-base hotpot," the waiter replied with a smile.

Margaret suddenly felt like a deflated balloon.

She initially wanted Charleston to just look at her eat, but because of this...

"By the way, Miss, do you need any side dishes?" The waiter asked again.

The soup base and dishes were ordered separately at this establishment.
