Honey, I'll Make You a Star (Margaret and Charleston) novel Chapter 67

Chapter 67 Come To The Hotel Tonight

"Mr. Limbaugh came personally?" The look on the Director's face suddenly changed.

"Yes, he said he came here to check things out." The assistant nodded.

Limbaugh Group was the biggest investor of this series.

Although it was said that Limbaugh Group had invested in the series, the Group had actually done so through Haver Entertainment.

How could one possibly have thought that Mr. Limbaugh would personally drop by?

"Ha, my cousin must have mentioned it to Mr. Limbaugh. That's why he prioritized this." Zoey smiled smugly.

The corner of Margaret's mouth twitched.

However, she was a little surprised at the thought of Charleston showing up here.

Why did this feel so familiar?

...

"Sir..." Larry swallowed his saliva. "Are you sure that you're not here for Miss Margaret?"

"Well, this place is on the way to where I'm having the contract discussion later, so I just came to have a look. After all, the show is part of Haver Entertainment's investment." Charleston sneered.

However, his eyes uncontrollably veered to the direction of the dressing room.

The crew members were surprised by Mr. Limbaugh's unexpected arrival.

They tried to look good and professional in front of Charleston. They were worried that Charleston would feel that they were negligent if he spotted things that were not perfect.

On the other hand, Larry, who was standing behind Charleston, could not help but to raise the corners of his lips when he heard his reply.

Not only was the place where the contract discussion would be held was far from here, it was even in the opposite direction.

How could this place be on the way to where he was heading?

He wanted to treat Miss Margaret well, yet he was so secretive about it.

"You can continue to be arrogant. Margaret is not aware of your feelings. When she is taken away by someone else, let's see who you will cry to." Larry thought to himself.

The Director immediately rushed over. He greeted Charleston with a very flattering smile, "Hello, Mr. Limbaugh."

"Hello." Charleston nodded.

His gaze was still fixed in the direction of the dressing room.

"Did they not say that she was here to try out costumes?" Charleston had a mini monologue in his head.

"Why haven't I seen her yet?"

Charleston immediately became a little impatient.

The director was a little frightened by Charleston's attitude. He could not help but ask Charleston carefully, "May I know why you're here?"

"Nothing, I'm just here to take a look. Are all the actors in the play here?" Charleston asked coldly.

"Some are still in the dressing room. I'll ask them to come out now."

Soon, the assistant brought out everyone from the dressing room.

Margaret included, of course!

Margaret narrowed her eyes when she saw Charleston.

She had not seen this man for days. He was still tall and handsome, as if he was the king of gods.

The nobleness emanating from his body wedged a distance between them.

Margaret recalled that Charleston previously said he would marry her.

Yet, he disappeared almost instantly after.

It was ridiculous to think about it. Fortunately, she did not take his words seriously.

"Mr. Limbaugh." Zoey immediately waved her hand and said with a smile when she saw Charleston.

Charleston just nodded faintly.

His gaze always found its way to Margaret.

She had not removed her makeup yet. Her makeup was simple yet attractive. She was such an alluring woman.

It made Charleston want to hide her somewhere just for himself and not have her leave there for the rest of her life.

He did not want others to see such a treasure.

"Mr. Limbaugh, Suanne is my cousin. My name is Zoey." Zoey introduced herself despite feeling a little reluctant when she saw Charleston ignoring her.

"Suanne's cousin?" Charleston's eyes fell on Zoey when he heard Suanne's name.

Then, a sneer appeared on his face.

He had been using Limbaugh Group's power for years to support Suanne just because of what happened that night.

It was a good thing Suanne never crossed the line in the past few years, neither did she have any bad intentions.

Yet, it did not mean that anyone could just come up to him so casually.

"Yes, Mr. Limbaugh." Zoey nodded excitedly.

"Oh."

The word "oh" was so quiet that it could not be any more insignificant.
