Estelle then took Yohan to the bathroom to wash up.
By the time they came out of the bathroom, Mrs. Moorsum had finished changing the diapers for Yvonne and came out of the bedroom with Yvonne in her arms.
Seeing Yvonne smiling sweetly, Yohan couldn’t help but touch her little hand and said, “Hi, Yvonne. I’m your brother.”
Yvonne smiled more happily as if she could understand what he was saying.
Mrs. Moorsum was delighted to see the two children so intimate.
“Miss Hudson, the atmosphere in your family is really good. Nowadays, in many families, the first child doesn’t like the second child at all. But things are different in your family. I can see that your son likes his sister very much. By the way, I saw an empty feeling bottle in the bedroom. Did your son feed the baby at night?”
“Mrs. Moorsum, does my sister need to have milk at night?” Yohan blinked and asked.
“Yes, the baby is still so little and needs to be fed at night. It was not you who fed her? Then it must be Miss Hudson,” Mrs. Moorsum said and then looked at Estelle with a smile.
Feeling a little embarrassed, Estelle shook her head and said, “It was not me, either. My husband fed her.”
Hearing this, Mrs. Moorsum couldn’t help but marvel, “I’ve worked as a maid for many families, but I’ve never seen a man so considerate in looking after a baby. Miss Hudson, it seems that your son takes after your husband. Both of them are gentle and stable.”
Estelle didn’t say anything and just smiled.
It was hard to explain Mr. Mysterious’ identity to Mrs. Moorsum. Besides, she didn’t want to mention or talk about Cristofer in front of Yohan.
“Mrs. Moorsum, have you had breakfast?” Yohan asked. “Come and eat with us.”
“No, thanks, Yohan. I ate outside before I came. Enjoy your breakfast,” Mrs. Moorsum refused politely.
At this time, Estelle’s phone beeped, and she received a message from Mr. Mysterious.
The soup cooked by Mrs. Moorsum tastes like that made by the previous Mrs. Moorsum. You may have a taste.
“Mom, who texted you?” Yohan asked.
“Your... uncle,” Estelle answered.
“Is he the uncle who fed Yvonne last night?”
“Yes.”
Estelle then tasted the soup.
Sure enough, the soup was fresh and delicious, tasting almost the same as that made by the precious Mrs. Moorsum.
‘It’s delicious. I like it very much.’ She replied to the message.
‘It’s good that you like it. Estelle, I can do much more for you than this. So, feel free to tell me whatever you like in the future. I’ll give you all that you want.’
Seeing the message, Estelle felt warm in her heart. She never doubted Mr. Mysterious’ words because he had always been a man of his word and never let her down.
With the help of Mrs. Moorsum, Estelle’s burden was eased a lot.
Mrs. Moorsum was indeed experienced in looking after children. She could not only take good care of Yvonne but also get along well with the children. Yohan liked her so much because she was kind and humorous.
As Mr. Mysterious hired Mrs. Moorsum, Estelle trusted her very much and didn’t need to worry about anything in childcare. And next, she just needed to deal with the affairs at work.
Since she had been discharged from the hospital, she should go back to work as soon as possible.
After all, she had found the job through a personal connection, and there were already many employees in the company having complaints about her. She didn’t want to be stereotyped as a person who always sought personal privileges.
“Mrs. Moorsum, I have to go out later. Please take care of the children,” Estelle said.
Mrs. Moorsum nodded and said, “No problem, Miss Hudson. I will take good care of them. By the way, your husband told me to pass some words on to you.”
“What did he say?” Estelle was a little surprised.
“He said that if you insist on going to work in the company, no one can stop you. But he asked me to remind him that working is for a better life. You used to work for the custody of Yvonne. Now that Yvonne has come back to you, you don’t have to work too hard, or you will burn yourself out.” Mrs. Moorsum said.
“Did he tell you these words last night?” Estelle asked.
“No. He sent me a message at about four o’clock in the morning and told me to pass the words on to you,” Mrs. Moorsum said.
‘Mr. Mysterious sent the message at about four o’clock in the morning. Sure enough, he did get up very early every day,’ Estelle thought.
“Okay. I see. Thank you,” Estelle nodded and said.
“You’re welcome. Miss Hudson.”
Estelle then went out. Some of her belongings were still in the Grand Hotel of Hadale City, including her black-framed glasses, so she took a taxi to the hotel first.
After unlocking the door with her fingerprint, she entered the room.
It seemed that the room had not been cleaned up since the last time she arrived, and all of her and Mr. Mysterious stuff was still placed in their original positions.
Estelle then put on her black-framed glasses and changed into a set of clothes that looked very ordinary and even a little rustic.
Looking at herself in the mirror and making sure that she was “ugly enough”, she nodded with satisfaction and left.
Then she took a taxi to Only Love Jewelry.
As soon as she arrived at the company, she happened to meet Bob, who seemed to be very anxious.
“Miss Hudson, you’re finally here!” Bob said excitedly as if he saw his saviour.
Only then did Estelle notice that everyone in the company was so busy that they almost trotted when they walked.
“Bob, what’s wrong?” she asked.
“I’ll explain to you later. Come with me now!” Bob took her wrist and pulled her to the elevator in a hurry. Then he took her directly to the VIP room on the third floor.
“Mr. Roberts’ mother is here. Look,” Bob said in a low voice as he motioned her to look at the woman in the VIP room.
Hearing this, Estelle looked through the transparent glass wall and saw a well-dressed middle-aged woman.
The woman was wearing a dark red customized suede dress and a black overcoat. Her hair was curly in the most popular hairstyle, and the jewelry that she wore also looked very stylish.
