HONEY, Love Me One More Time novel Chapter 148

Then she suddenly thought about her high school years and continued, “I remember that when I was in high school, the parents of some girls in my class didn’t allow them to wear jewelry.”
“Why?” Tim was confused and asked.
Estelle chuckled and said, “Maybe their parents wanted them to focus on studying instead of dressing up. Of course, parents always hope that their children can study hard and be admitted to a good university.”
“Those girls must have felt very depressed.”
“Maybe. But what the parents did was understandable. They did that for their children’s own good.”
Tim just nodded and didn’t continue the topic.
After hesitating for a few seconds, he touched his nose and asked with a hint of nervousness in his tone, “Well... May I ask what your relationship with Justin is?”
Estelle didn’t expect that he would ask about this and was a little surprised.
“It’s a long story, and things between us are a little complicated. But Justin and I are just friends, and I’m not in a relationship with him,” Estelle said.
Hearing this, Tim smiled and nodded. “Got it. By the way, don’t wear your ugly black-framed glasses at work in the future.”
“Don’t you dislike beautiful women anymore?” Estelle asked.
Tim snorted and said, “I hate women who take advantage of their beauty and seduce men to get benefits. As for you...”
Before he could finish her words, Estelle’s phone beeped.
She took out her phone and saw a message from Mr. Mysterious.
‘Estelle, I will also be jealous.’
When Estelle saw the words, she couldn’t help but smile.
‘Sir, Mr. Roberts is just my boss. He didn’t mean anything else.’
‘Men know men best. His eyes were full of affection when he gazed at you.’
‘Sir, are you also in Only Love Jewelry?’
‘I was worried about you, so I came here. I’m very relieved to see you in good condition. But I didn’t expect that I would have a rival in love in this company.’
Estelle then stood up, walked past Tim, and left the studio. She looked around but found that there was no one in the corridor.
‘Estelle, don’t look for me. I’ve told you that I’ll show up in front of you with my true identity when it’s the right time.’
‘Okay.’ Estelle replied to the message, then returned to the studio, walked past Tim again, and sat back in her seat.
At this time, the message from Mr. Mysterious came again.
‘Would you like to have seafood tonight? I remember that you like poached oysters.’
‘Where are we going to have dinner?’
‘Let’s go to your favorite seafood restaurant, the one with a transparent tunnel.’
‘But the restaurant is brightly lit. Is it convenient for you to have dinner there?’
‘Estelle, you just need to tell me whether you want to go there for dinner or not. I’ll take care of everything else.’
‘Yes, I want to.’ Estelle replied to him briefly.
She hadn’t had a meal with Mr. Mysterious in the light and was curious about how he would hide himself.
‘Okay. I’ll pick you up after you get off work.’
‘Sir, will you pick me up in person?’
‘Of course. I want to spend as much time with you as I can. Don’t worry. Mrs. Moorsum will take care of the kids. Just enjoy the wonderful night.’
‘Okay. I’m looking forward to it.’
‘So am I.’
“Hey, who are you texting?” Tim asked in displeasure as he tapped her drawing board with his fingers.
Estelle then immediately put her phone away and said with an apologetic smile, “Sorry, Mr. Roberts. I’ll continue to work now.”
Seeing that she didn’t answer him, Tim took the pencil away from her hand and asked, “Didn’t you hear me? Why didn’t you answer my question?”
“What did you ask me?” Estelle looked at him in confusion.
“Who were you texting just now?” Tim asked tentatively. “Your boyfriend?”
“No, it’s not my boyfriend.”
“I knew it,” Tim breathed a sigh of relief and said. “You always wear your black-framed glasses and don’t pay attention to your image at all. How is it possible that you have a boyfriend?”
“It’s my husband,” Estelle said calmly.
“You’re married?” Tim raised his voice and asked in shock.
“I... I’m married, but I’m going to get a divorce.”
“If you want to get divorced, you’d better do it soon in case of any possible troubles in the future. But since you’re going to divorce, why were you so happy when texting him?”
“I’m not talking to my current husband,” Estelle said.
“What’s wrong with you? Are you married or not? How many husbands do you have? I’m confused by your words,” Tim said impatiently, almost blowing up at her.
At the thought that she had promised Katrina that she would finish the designs within an hour, Estelle didn’t want to waste time explaining her relationship to Tim, so she asked, “Mr. Roberts, does my marital status have anything to do with my performance appraisal during probation?”
“No,” Tim answered with a frown.
“Since so, then my marital status is my privacy. I don’t want to talk about it now. Mr. Roberts, I won’t let my private affairs influence my work. I will try my best to win more clients and make more profits for our company,” Estelle said.
Tim was speechless.
After taking a deep breath, he said with a wry smile, “Okay. Work hard. You are the best.”
“I must have been insane to come here and talk so much nonsense with you. Bob’s idea doesn’t work at all,” he added. Then he went out and slammed the door angrily.
Seeing him like this, Estelle was puzzled and wondered, ‘Why did he suddenly get angry for no reason?’
Thinking that Tim was always bad-tempered, she felt that it was normal for him to be like this.
Then she continued to concentrate on her design.
Forty minutes later, the first drafts of the jewelry were completed.
Then her phone suddenly rang.
Seeing that it was Cristofer calling, Estelle answered the phone reluctantly.
“Are you free tonight? I want to see the children,” Cristofer said on the other end of the line.
Estelle refused without hesitation, “I’ve got stuff to do tonight.”
“Estelle, Yohan and Yvonne are also my children. Even if we get divorced, I have visitation rights,” Cristofer said.
Estelle took a deep breath and said, “I know that, and I won’t deprive you of your right. But I’ve really got stuff to do tonight. How about you visit them another day?”
“What are you going to do?”
“Does it have anything to do with you?”
“You are going to do something with Mr. Mysterious, right?” Cristofer asked in a cold voice. “Have you... had sex?”
Hearing his words, Estelle felt a sudden surge of anger, and she said bluntly, “Cristofer, Mr. Mysterious is different from you. He is a true gentleman!”
“A true gentleman?” Cristofer sneered and said, “If he is a gentleman, why didn’t he tell you his true identity? Ask him to come to me and let me see how gentle he is.”
“You two don’t need to meet each other,” Estelle said.
“It is necessary! Estelle, I did hurt you before. But now I know I was wrong, and I’m willing to compensate you and the children with everything I have. I won’t give up on you. And I will chase after you again and compete with Mr. Mysterious.”
“Cristofer, what’s the point of you doing this?” Estelle said with a frown.
Cristofer leered and asked, “So, he doesn’t dare to compete with me?”
