HONEY, Love Me One More Time novel Chapter 156

“No. I made the investigation not long after I woke up. Although it took some time, it’s worth it. And it’s so shocking that she has many skeletons in her closet.”
The words “woke up” captured Estelle’s attention. “Not long after you... woke up?”
After a few seconds of silence, Mr. Mysterious nodded and said affirmatively, “Yes, not long after I woke up.”
Estelle didn’t understand what he meant by that, but she didn’t ask for more.
Soon, the car stopped at the gate of the apartment building.
Mr. Mysterious said gently, “Estelle, you may go back first and rest. Mrs. Moorsum has prepared dinner for you. I’ll be back at night.”
Estelle touched the cloth covering her eyes and nodded. “Okay.”
As soon as she finished her words, the scent of the cologne suddenly became stronger, and she knew that Mr. Mysterious was approaching her.
The next moment, Mr. Mysterious cupped her face gently in his hands and pecked her on her soft lips.
“Wait for me.”
“Okay.”
Mr. Mysterious’ kiss was gentle and light, but Estelle could still feel that he was restraining his strong passion.
After a long while, Mr. Mysterious opened the car door for her and hugged her before she got out of the car.
“Sometimes, I really hope that there is no day but only night every day so that we won’t be separated,” he said in a husky voice.
Estelle also hugged him gently and said with a smile, “Didn’t you say that you would face me with your true identity after you finished dealing with everything?”
“Yes.”
“So we won’t be separated. We’ll be able to stay with each other every day soon.”
“Okay.”
“But, Sir, could you deal with those things immediately? I’m afraid I...”
‘I’m afraid I will relapse. I’m afraid that I will die before you can tell me who you are.’
Mr. Mysterious held her tightly in his arms and said, “I will.”
Estelle then opened the door and got out of the car.
Her eyes were still covered, and she couldn’t see anything, so she could only stand still and wait for Mr. Mysterious to leave first.
It was not until she heard the car drive off that she removed the cloth.
By the time she got home, the dinner had been ready. The dishes cooked by Mrs. Moorsum were all her favorites.
“Miss Hudson, you are back. Mr. Mysterious asked me to go home after I bought the ingredients. But later, he asked me to cook for you. I was in a hurry, so I didn’t prepare many dishes. I’m sorry,” Mrs. Moorsum said.
Estelle was also apologetic. “Mrs. Moorsum, I’m the one who should say sorry. You’ve got off work, but we made you take an extra trip.”
“It doesn’t matter. Mr. Mysterious gives me a salary ten times more than my previous salary. Besides, you and Mr. Mysterious are so easy-going, and your children are lovely. I’m happy to work here.”
Estelle then asked, “Where are the children?”
“Speaking of which, although Yohan is young, he’s really a sweet guy. He fed Yvonne and played with her this afternoon. It’s rare for a boy his age to be so considerate and patient. He must have inherited these qualities from Mr. Mysterious. They are all very caring.”
Hearing this, Estelle smiled embarrassedly and said, “Well, I’ll call him over for dinner.”
Then she walked to the children’s room.
In the children’s room, Yohan sat beside Yvonne’s crib with a stuffed toy in his hand and looked affectionately at Yvonne.
The atmosphere was cozy, but Estelle couldn’t help but feel a little sad when seeing Yohan like this.
‘Yohan looks so much like Cristofer,’ she thought.
The first time she saw Cristofer holding Yvonne in his arms in the Hans Residence, Cristofer's expression was the same as that of Yohan at this moment.
Yohan inherited Cristofer's look but didn’t inherit his personality. The two of them looked so similar, but their personalities were quite different.
“Mom!” Yohan was pleasantly surprised when seeing Estelle, and he threw himself into her arms happily. “Mom, I miss you so much.”
Estelle held him tightly in her arms.
Whenever she came home, Yohan would say he missed her very much. She couldn’t help wondering who taught him to say so.
“Did James teach you to say such words to me?” Estelle asked.
Yohan shook his head and said, “No, Mom. I really miss you very, very much.”
“I miss you too, Yohan.”
“Mommy, Yvonne has been as good as gold today,” Yohan said as he held her hand.
Then the two of them bent over and looked at Yvonne together.
“Mommy, Yvonne looks like you,” Yohan said.
When Yvonne was just born, she was so small and didn’t look like Estelle.
Now that she had grown older, it could be seen that she got Estelle’s eyebrows and eyes.
While they were talking, Mrs. Moorsum came in with a milk bottle and said, “Miss Hudson, Yvonne has a good appetite these days. She’s just one month old, right? I’ve never seen a baby girl with such a good appetite. She must be a cute foodie when she grows up.”
Hearing this, Estelle couldn’t help chuckling.
Then she remembered that when she was a child, she was a foodie who often suffered from hypoglycemia.
Back then, her parents were worried that she would suddenly faint at school due to hypoglycemia, so they would put many star-shaped candies in her school bag daily.
Those candies were specially made by a confectioner hired by her father. They were made of glucose and maltose that could be more easily absorbed and could relieve the symptoms of hypoglycemia soon.
However, Estelle didn’t like the candies at that time. Therefore, Cristofer would carry the candies to school for her every day.
Cristofer was three years older than her. When he went to middle school, she was in primary school. And he went to high school, she was still in middle school.
Since their schools were always next to each other, she could always see Cristofer's tall and thin figure at the classroom door during break time.
He always lazily leaned against the corridor wall with a smile and waited for her with a few star-shaped candies in his hands.
One day, when Estelle was in middle school after the bell rang, the teacher was still lecturing.
Knowing that Cristofer was waiting for her, Estelle was so anxious that she looked in the direction of the door occasionally.
Seeing her like this, the monitor chuckled and said to the teacher, “Ms. Garcia, you’d better end the class now. Someone can’t wait to go out to meet Cristofer.”
Cristofer was handsome and came from a good family. And he was a straight-A student and had long been well-known in the school. And naturally, almost everyone in the school knew that he was in a relationship with Estelle.
When the monitor finished his words, the whole class laughed and looked at Estelle.
