Chapter 255
Kenneth and Cassandra didn’t leave the amusement park until 3 p.m.
After a simple theal in the park, they went to watch a movie. It was lunchtime when the movie, ended.
Cassandra’s stomach was rumbling. She was hungry.
Kenneth said as he opened the car door for Cassandra, “Let’s go to have lunch. I know a restaurant that offers delicious steak. Let’s try it together, and I’ve booked a table.”
“Okay, I haven’t eaten steak for a long time.”
Cassandra wasn’t fussy about her food. If it tasted good, she would eat more. If it tasted bad, she would eat less.
Instead of being fussy about her food, it was better to discard the unpalatable and eat more delicacies.
Now that Kenneth said it was delicious, it should be delicious. She could go to have a try.
After arriving at the restaurant, Cassandra got off and found that it was a steak restaurant, which was like an oil painting. It was a pure white wooden house and faced the bustling city scenery. It was surrounded by fresh green plants outside. The restaurant was also in a classic style. There were old- fashioned copper table lamps, ceiling fans, and delicate flowers. One might feel like they went back to the old days in there.
“The architecture here is in a very classic style.” Kenneth liked it very much. It was rare. “Let’s go in.”
“Welcome.” The waiter at the door saluted them and opened the door for them.
The manager of the restaurant greeted them and said, “Mr. Zelinski, welcome!”
The manager greeted warmly, “The private room you booked is ready. May I serve the dishes now?”
“Okay, please serve for us.”
After sitting in the private room, Kenneth began to explain, “I ordered some dishes according to your taste and added a few signature dishes. Try them first. If you don’t like them, I will change. them for you.”
“Okay.” Cassandra didn’t take it seriously.
Soon the appetizers were served, including caviar, cocktail cups, creamed chicken pastries, and
soup.
After the appetizer, the manager served the main course and dessert.

Chapter 255
Cassandra couldn’t help but feel that Kenneth knew her very well. Every dish seemed to be chosen for her, which was very suitable for her taste.
Cassandra ate happily and contentedly.
Suddenly, the door of the private room was opened. The voice sounded like Kayden. “I told you that Kenneth was here.”
When Kayden saw the people in the room, the smile disappeared on Kayden’s face immediately.
Kayden didn’t expect Cassandra to be here.
“Cassie…”
Yannick said that Kenneth had been with Cassie. It seemed that it was true.
Behind Kayden were Maximilian, Denzel, Yasmine, Devin, and Jessica.
“The manager said that you were having lunch here. We just finished eating, so we came here to say hello to you.”
But Kayden didn’t expect it to be so awkward.
Kenneth greeted them tonelessly. “Hello, everyone. Although Kenneth’s tone was aloof, they didn’t take it seriously.
With Kenneth’s identity, even if Kenneth ignored them, it made sense. Kayden was Kenneth’s friend, so Kenneth respected them very much.
Cassandra’s face clouded over slightly. She didn’t say anything.
Maximilian’s voice sounded like he had recovered. He walked towards Cassandra and said awkwardly, ‘Cassie, you’re here too. Do you like the dishes here? How about-
Cassandra interrupted him and said in a cold voice, “I like the dishes here. Kenneth and I have finished our meals. We have other things to deal with and would like to leave first.”
Maximilian’s gaze was more sincere than Benjamin’s, but Cassandra would not be moved by kinship again.
“Cassie, why are you so reluctant to see me? I’m your grandpa. I want to explain many things to you. Can you give me a chance?” Maximilian had been intimidating in the business for half a century, but now he humbly wanted Cassandra to listen to him.
Maximilian knew that his daughter–in–law and grandchildren all failed to persuade Cassandra. Kenneth was having lunch here, so Maximilian wanted Kenneth to mediate between them. Unexpectedly, they met Cassandra directly.
Hearing Cassandra’s indifferent tone, Maximilian couldn’t stand it.

“I’m sorry for making you pass out with anger before. I’ve sincerely apologized to Kayden and Thomas. To avoid you becoming emotional again, I didn’t apologize to you in person. If you want to pursue this matter, tell me whatever you want.”
Cassandra didn’t want an explanation.
“I don’t care about this. It’s not your fault. It was because I didn’t follow the doctor’s advice. Thus, it has nothing to do with you. What I want to say is why we got you lost.” Maximilian knew that his daughter–in–law didn’t explain this matter clearly, 50 Cassandra misunderstood them.
“I don’t want to hear it. I’m living a good life now. I have gone to college and have a lot of savings. Kenneth paid me 2 billion dollars as the consultation fee to save Kayden. Thus, I don’t need money. I don’t need your compensation or a family either.”
In her world, family members were the most likely to betray her, especially the ones related by blood.
“No, that’s not what I meant.” Maximilian became emotional again.
Denzel hurriedly held Maximilian and comforted him softly. “Dad, calm down.”
