Kenneth was surprised. They had just met her parents. Cassandra dreamed about them the day before. If there hadn’t been so much work to do, she might have been absent–minded all day long.

Kenneth said, “It’s just a dream. Don’t take it seriously. Cassie, you’re the best. They were unlucky to lose you.” 

Kenneth gently rubbed her head, held her in his arms, and comforted her. 

Cassandra was supposed to be an aristocrat but God fooled her. 

Cassandra smiled gently, “I guess only you and Jeremiah think I’m the best.” 

She thought, ‘And Hugo and people of Modern Beacon Synergy! 

Kenneth praised Jeremiah, which was rare. “Great minds think alike.” 

He knew how important Jeremiah was to Cassandra. Fortunately, Jeremiah only wanted to be her friend. So Kenneth didn’t treat him like a rival. 

Suddenly, Kenneth received a message on WhatsApp. 

Vincent: [My mother is fine. Thanks for your concern.] 

It was a message from Vincent. It seemed that the Queen had been out of danger. 

He simply replied: [Received.] 

Although their private phones were taken away, they logged into their WhatsApp accounts using other devices just for the convenience of the information security department. 

Cassandra asked curiously, “Who is it?” 

Kenneth explained, “Vincent, the Queen suddenly fainted when we were negotiating. She is

Cassandra nodded. “Good.” 

The night was a long one. Kenneth couldn’t bear to let Cassandra suffer so he asked her to rest her head on his shoulder.

Leanna woke up at midnight. Darren hurriedly helped her sit up and asked with concern, “How are you feeling? Do you feel pain? I’ll send for the doctor.”
