Chapter 393
After coming out of the police station, Gilda was in a bad mood.
Jackson followed her closely and handed her a bottle of water. “Drink some water and have a rest.”
Gilda shook her head slightly. “Jackson, I want to be alone.”
After saying that, Gilda walked alone along the path. Jackson stood there and stared at her back.
Owen went back and walked up to him. “Why don’t you follow her? What if something bad happens?”
“Give her some space, and we’ll just follow her.” After Jackson finished speaking, he stepped forward and followed up. Owen shrugged his shoulders and helplessly shook his head to keep up with Jackson.
“After all these years, how could you haven’t made any progress?” Owen looked at Gilda not far away, “Don’t hesitate! If you hesitate again, she might run away with someone else.”
Before he could finish his words, Jackson glared at him.
Owen shut up obediently, pondered for a moment, and then said, “I’m just kindly reminding you. There are some things you don’t have to hide. You should tell her.”
In Owen’s view, Gilda also liked Jackson. It was just that both of them seemed to be deliberately avoiding this relationship and never faced it squarely.
“After so many years of waiting, there’s no harm in waiting a little longer.” As Jackson spoke, his eyes softened a little. He looked at Gilda’s figure and said affectionately, “As long as it’s her in the end, even if
it’s a little later.”

Owen shook his head helplessly. Only when facing Gilda would he see a touch of tenderness from
Jackson.
And he couldn’t say anything about such things as feelings.
Jackson asked, “Did you bring the computer?”

Owen replied, “In the car.”
“Give it to me for a while.” Owen then waved his hand, and the driver drove over. The two got in the car,
and Jackson said, “Help me pay attention to her safety.”
Owen said, “Don’t worry. I’ll keep an eye on her for you.”
Then Jackson picked up the laptop and typed quickly on the keyboard.
Gilda walked along the road alone. The leaves of sycamore trees had turned yellow, and pieces of golden leaves were blown away by the wind.
It’s autumn again.

Pedestrians come and go hurriedly on the roadside. Gilda shuttles through the crowd alone, immersing in her thoughts.
